Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Very responsive and accommodating. He takes real interest in the well-being of his guests. The camp is authentic with real tents on the sand (well, rock from which the sand was wiped off for the tenant's comfort). The area is reasonably dark for a good view of the stars (unless sand and dust cloud the sky).

Negative: Some of the good things come with attached discomforts. Can't have an authentic Sahara experience with running water and indoor plumbing for example, but this camp has a place (sort of shower with no shower) where one can clean themselves with some effort using a pouring dish. The camp is also not as I gathered from the map in the middle of the erg, but far from the dunes. One needs to travel by 4x4 to and from the dunes and the host is eager to provide the transportation for a reasonable price.
