Summary: We visit the area every year for an SCTP Competition held in Marengo, OH. Last year we stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. So, we decided to stay here again, but it was not a good choice. We arrived on Sunday and planned to leave the following Sunday. The second day, the room was cleaned and towels were replenished. However, every day after that, we had to go to the front desk to get clean towels, more coffee, extra toilet paper, and to gather our own trash and put it in the hall. We were never told we needed to request housekeeping 24 hours in advance until the second-to-last day. When I asked why I wasn’t told that at check-in, they pointed at a sign at the front desk that said all information was listed there. I said it would have been helpful to know when we checked in or during our other visits for towels, and they said sorry. We didn't request it on the first night, but housecleaning came by anyway, so we didn't realize we had to request it. The pool was not very clean - a little foggy. We stayed on the second floor, and then the ice machine was broken. I would go to the first floor to get ice, but by day 4, that machine was broken as well. When I told the front desk, they acknowledged it. On the last day, they offered to get some ice from the bar when I told them the machines were down again. We won't be returning to this hotel. It has a great location for many attractions and dining options, but the service was disappointing.

Summary: Disappointing stay. Requested housekeeping service and while they emptied the trash and made the beds, they took our towels and didn't replace them with clean ones. Nor did they replace coffee cups in room. I had to retrieve new ones myself. Many broken items including the laundry facilities, ice machine and mirror in bathrrom.

Summary: Front desk clerk/ manager was very nice and accommodating. Great location near plenty of restaurants within walking distance. My only complaints was the pool and hot tub were dirty. There was hair etc floating around when I walked in the water looked green and you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool as you could if it were cleaned properly. There was no breast or dinner and the bar : kitchen was closed- not a big deal because there were tons of restaurants around. My room only had one roll of toilet paper but the clerk was very accommodating and corrected the issue. Suggestion to management please clean the pool area.

Summary: While the staff was helpful and nice- we had problem after problem with our stay. The pull out bed in our initial room was filthy, the air didn’t work in the second third and fourth room, and the final room we decided to make work for us had a puddle of water next to the bed where the ac unit was. None of the floors in any of the rooms looked like they had been swept and our family Will not be staying here ever again.

Summary: Overall, it was fine, for the price of the room. There are definitely a lot of things that I would like to see a little bit nicer. For example, the phone in the room did not work at all so in order to call the front desk, I had to call off of my cell phone And then wait to get someone at the hotel. The iron was broken and the ironing board had no cover on it and was useless. I asked for replacement and they brought an ironing board that was even more unsafe than the one that they had before because it wouldn’t even stand up straight and as soon as you put the iron on it, it fell over because it was so incredibly wobbly. My neck hurt from the pillows as they were not to my liking, but that’s not the hotel but they were definitely cheap pillows. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again even though the hot tub and pool were nice.

Summary: One night stay while passing through. Location seemed safe and close to Costco and Von Maur (bonus!). Staff was terrific. Friendly and accommodating. Bed and pillows were great. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Food was ok. No plastic bags in any of the in room trash cans. Weird. Will stay here again.
