Negative: Caution: In Calm View Hotel (Lefkada, Greece) you may not get the room you ordered but a significantly smaller one without adequate compensation. Our case: We ordered a Superior Studio with 25 sqm for €1408 for one week via Booking.com and got a standard room with 19 sqm. When complainining, we had to go through following lengthy discussion: Hotel: The room size is correct. We: No, that can only be including balcony. Hotel: In Greece it’s usual to include the balcony. We: No, the 25 sqm refer only to interior except if stated clearly “including balcony” Hotel: It’s Booking.com’s fault. We: No, you are responsible for the content on Booking.com Hotel: Sorry We: Sorry is not enough. We either need a room with 25 sqm or a pro rata refund (24%). Hotel: I have to talk to the manager. Hotel (later): We arranged the requested refund of 112 Euros (just 8%)

Summary: We neither got the room ordered nor an adequate compensation.

Positive: We chose the apartment because we wanted a fridge to keep food and drinks cool but in the end it turned out to be the best choice because the light that came in in the morning from the two balconies was divine. One even had a glimpse of the sea. But the best thing was the comfort of the mattress and pillows, we slept like babies. The owners are kind and always available for advice on where to go. The place is well-kept and always clean. They were very pleasant days, efcharistoume poli!

Positive: We liked everything about the hotel. The room was very beautiful, modern and spacious. They were led lights under the bed which gave a very nice atmosphere. The terrace and the view of the sea were also very nice. The breakfast was perfect. There was even a kitchenette if you want to cook or drink a tea. The host were extremely nice and we spent great time at Calm View. We strongly recommend.

Positive: The room is very clean, bed is comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and varies a bit each day. Cleaning is done everyday and staff is very kind and helpful. There are beach umbrellas to take if you need.

Negative: There’s nowhere to sit in the room beside the bed. The shower has a curtain that sticks to your body. There’s nothing to do and nowhere to dine in the village, so a vehicle is mandatory. Many cats in the breakfast area. If you’re not at the table, they jump and steal from your plate.

Summary: Overall a very good accommodation and good value for money.
