Positive: The cottage has clearly been modernised (most of the plugs are 3-pin UK sockets) and is in a fantastic location - Kalavasos is ideal for explodrng the rest of Cyprus providing you have a car. The air-conditioning units were an absolute godsend when returning from a day in the 35-40°C heat of summer. Amenities were good, shower was decent (not just a dribble like some shower units), and the TV had a guest Netflix account which we made good use of. Shame there wasn't a TV in the bedroom, though. We also loved the ice cube tray contraption, the secluded private courtyard, and the local area and restaurants. We weren't actually told about the shared village pool by the people we rented from, but we did find it eventually.

Negative: Almost everything was spot on, although we did have a couple of minor hiccups. There were no large knives in the kitchen, so no bread knife or long-blade knives to chop stuff up with (for watermelon, meats, etc), and my biggest niggle was no drying tray of any sort for the crockery, cutlery, glasses, pans, etc. when you've washed up! They only supplied a couple of toilet rolls as well, so I'd recommend buying a 4- or 6-pack depending on how long you're staying. Worth noting is that the kettle and hairdryer are both of the older 2-pin variety, so you will need a converter plug if you wish to use them!

Summary: Great location, lovely modern cottage. Just a few niggles.

Positive: The location was great for traveling around Cyprus and comfortable with local parking near the square. Good cooker and kitchen implements, pans , lates, glasses etc. good wifi and fridge freezer was a bonus
