Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We were a group of 3 people and it has 3 beds in two separate rooms plus two bathrooms

Negative: There is a coffeemaker but no coffee or filters for guests to use. We own 2 Airbnb’s and always provide tea, coffee, and filters for our guests. We don't expect short stay guests to have that with them or have to run out to buy it. The bigger issue was that only two electrical outlets were working in the whole place, and they were downstairs. So for the guest staying upstairs (me) - where NONE of the outlets worked - I had to plug in my phone downstairs overnight to charge. Most of us keep our phones nearby when we sleep, especially if we have family elsewhere in case of emergencies. I contacted the concierge who was unable to direct me to the fuse box to see if a breaker was tripped. It wasn’t worth the effort for one night to try to figure something else out so I just dealt with having no working outlets upstairs for anything needing to be plugged in. All of the lights and fans worked so it was weird that the outlets didn’t. A few other quick things - the concierge messaged me around 3pm on arrival day that we would be charged a late fee if we didn’t check in by 5pm - which I don’t think is even true! Anyhow, in spite of the fact that she had started messaging me around midday-1:00 to get my license plate and accompanying guest info, she never mentioned the requirement to arrive by 5:00. So we had to change our plans for the rest of the afternoon and go straight to the property to check in. My daughter lives in Playa Grande and knows most of the nearby properties. She looked into it and said it’s not true about the late fee so….not sure what that was about but I speak fluent Spanish, as does my daughter, so there is no chance there was a miscommunication due to language. Finally, I think $110 + another $67 in US taxes for the night was high, especially as no breakfast is included - not to mention, no coffee.
