Positive: It’s far too expensive for what it is. You have no alternative to opt for dinner and lunch which you have to pay. Once you are in Cabo Serai you can’t leave for other food options. Menu a bit limited. The yoga and mediation teacher is really good and booking a session is a must. Rooms are good standard. Pleasant enough stay but overpriced.

Summary: If you want to be remote and in the hills then it’s a good option.

Positive: The property is just beautiful. The views from the room, dining area, the beach attached to the property is clean and excellent (feels private even though it is not). The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The service was very good.

Negative: To get to the property, the road is unpaved, hence it was difficult to get some taxi/cab service to take us to the property. On the flip side, the remoteness makes it a quiet and charming location. Lunches and Dinners were pricey and one had to pre order. Also, the choices can be improved by offering some healthy options.

Positive: Perfect place for a gateway with your spouse. It’s serene and beautiful. Entire resort is covered with lush greens and oceanfront view. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a lot. Sunset setup at the cliff was the cherry on top.

Positive: It’s a remote eco hotel in the jungle above a beautiful stretch of beach. The individual villas are very spacious and tasteful with long balconies overlooking the jungle where monkeys play. The restaurant area and lounge area are beautiful open to the jungle serving good Indian food. If you want a remote place this is ideal.

Negative: The pool area is very tired in need of new tiles and the mis matching parasols broken. The lunch menu is a lot main meals lacking - simple food such as sandwiches although they will make you toast. You are somewhat ‘stuck’ there it’s quite an effort to go out to lunch it’s not close to any other villages.

Positive: Cabo Serai exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was attentive and caring, polite and sweet. The extra activities they offered ( like private yoga, nature walks, and private dining) were amazing and felt so special! I cannot recommend this place enough, from the small patches of organic veggies growing in the coconut grove to the playful monkeys in the trees to the views and soundscape - this resort is simply breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend!
