Positive: It’s a decent place to stay, but definitely overpriced for what it offers. Girls serving breakfast were very friendly.

Negative: Hair in the shower when we arrived. General cleaning quite poor and bed was very loud and unconfortable. Swimming pool was dirty most of the time and the beach is very far away from the location. Not hot water, so be prepare for cold showers!

Summary: Nice views from the cabains but a bit overpiced for what it offers. More hostal vibes.

Positive: Good location to dive shops, grocery store and restaurants. Tortuga Room was quiet and had a nice pool for cooling off on the hot afternoons. AC also worked well and there was a mini fridge in the room.

Negative: We were in the Tortuga room, the furthest from the road (which was nice), but the door did not close well. Overall, the property could use a bit of TLC. Some folks started partying at the pool at 3:00 am one of the nights. They left beer cans and food packaging and food all over around the pool area. It was still there in the late afternoon the next day. There is no way to reach a staff person if they are not in the breakfast area (maybe add a bell that rings to the restaurant or main house or WiFi password with a phone number to call).

Positive: The cabanas are lovely, set in a nice garden with even a pool that is useful after a day at the beach. The interior of the cabanas is basic but they are clean, spacious, with fridge and air conditioning and an outdoor space. The staff is friendly and helpful and the included breakfast is good and complete. I had read negative reviews and honestly don't see the point. The beach in front no longer exists because of the hurricane that hit the island a few years ago, the bar/restaurant La Terrazza in front offers sunset views and really good cocktails. Providencia is still an island little exploited by mass tourism, but there is a lot of restaurants , especially on the beach, really nice and good, with delicious fish and lobster. There are sunflies and mosquitos but with a good repellent they are kept away 😉

Positive: The staff was absolutely lovely and took very good care of us. The food at the restaurant was very good and the bartenders at the bar were fantastic. Oscar really makes a mean mojito. The old shipwreck is easily swimmable/walkable from the small beach. The staff reaccomodated us when we had an issue with our room and we're very nice about it.

Negative: Compared to the photos it was very cramped and not private at all. The room needed serious renovation and was not upto par with the price. There was loud music playing at all times from both the restaurant and the other hotels next door which were very close. There is nowhere to relax or find peace and quiet anywhere close by. The beach is tiny and all the hotels play different equally loud musics all day over each other.

Positive: Good location and nice staff, plus very good AC

Negative: Some elements weren’t great, like towels of low quality or lizards getting in an out (but thats to be expected). The breakfast is very basic (eggs, toast and fruit), and they didn’t clean the pool at all whilst we were there so couldn’t use it - could be because of the season but we picked this hotel to be able to use a pool
