Positive: The area around La Brenne is very rural and quiet, this property is located within a village, La Villatte, and it is well worth the trip on winding country roads. I can highly recommend it to families, friends traveling together. it was a way station on our way to Gers and southern France. The hostess is very friendly and welcoming and keen to ensure that our stay was pleasurable. The village and the property is probably a 30 minutes drive from main roads so plan for this - but again a very nice stay. There are superb restaurants within a 20-minute drive.

Summary: Vey nice way station wherever you are traveling, great for family, friends. Quiet and rural.

Positive: The environment was relaxing and the chickens were very entertaining. The hosts left a croissant basket with treats in the apartment with orange juice, milk, jam, and chocolates. So awesome! The gîte itself was very well renovated and the beds and bathrooms were excellent. It was fun to walk around the property. We highly recommend staying here.
