Positive: the setting of the hotel surrounded by the park. a sunny morning was a bonus. overall everything was of a good standard.

Negative: My wife thought the dinner menu was a bit limited and it was difficult to detect the lobster in the starter.

Summary: very enjoyable and satisfied what we were after, a bed after a good dinner

Positive: Staff were so friendly and went above and beyond with all my queries and things I needed help with / asked for . The bed was SO comfortable! The vegan menu was delicious and best I’ve had at a hotel . Fantastic stay !

Positive: The whole ethos of the hotel was excellent and more than I expected. ALL the staff whom we met were good and - as you certainly know - Marc the " Major Domo" as I would call him - was one of the best we have ever met. Could not have been more charming and professional, in a long lifetime of travelling and seeing much of the world.

Negative: The food was good but one very small point is that the Southdown lamb cutlets - delicious quality and taste - was sadly for my wife and I spoiled by the chef adding a cheese to the sauce/gravy. Just not compatible.

Summary: As good as the other many Handpicked Hotels we have stayed at,especially the Rhinefield House Hotel.

Positive: The location and view was stunning. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were lovely. My light lunch and breakfast were very good.

Negative: My room was generic, like any cheaper hotel. The walls were thin, I could hear my neighbours conversation. There was a wedding which was quite loud detracting from my restful stay. I couldn’t hear the wedding from my room though thank goodness. A fire alarm went off at 3 am.
