Positive: Good rooms and bathrooms.

Negative: The swimming pool does not appear clean following European standards. You cannot swim in that bay area at the beach but need to go to an island to enjoy swimming.

Positive: I had an amazing time here. The owner is very kind and helpful. I asked about a kettle in the room, and she bought one especially for me. She took care of us, asking about our plans. She even arranged island hopping, which was perfect and allowed us to use the boat! Filipino breakfast is delicious. It's not as touristy as El Nido. I recommend stopping here and taking a scooter to see El Nido. I did, and it was a good choice.

Positive: The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The outdoor bathroom is beautiful.

Negative: The room I booked was right next to the pool; and upon arrival I found out it wasn’t just a pool for guests at the ‘resort’ but a public swimming pool. People were using the seating outside my room and using the door to the room as a mirror, so it didn’t feel at all private. When the (really lovely) person in charge at the resort raised my concerns with the owner, the response I got back was “you didn’t book somewhere with a private pool”. I thought an apology about the failure to mention that the pool is public on the listing would have been a better response. The room was basic but clean.

Summary: An average place to stay with wonderful staff. Taytay itself is incredible.
