Positive: This place is truly peaceful and beautiful, nestled in the heart of nature. It's run by a wonderful family who are warm, kind, and incredibly helpful, along with their two adorable kids. There are so many birds around, and we even spotted a sloth living in the tree behind the house! It really felt like staying with family. The location is perfect—far enough from the tourist crowds of La Fortuna to offer tranquility, but close enough to easily enjoy all the activities the area has to offer. Lydia and Joas were exceptional hosts and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Positive: The location is lovely and the hosts are nice people. They served a nice breakfast.

Negative: The cabin is small for 4 people and there is absolutely nowhere to either hang clothes or a shelf to put clothes on so we pretty much had to live out of our suitcases, which wasn't ideal. There was a strong smell of damp that never left the room. The underneath of the beds and the shelves in the kitchen weren't very clean. There is an issue with ants in the kitchen area probably due to a crack in the tiles in the corner. This meant that absolutely no food could be left out or it was covered with ants in minutes. The breakfast was good but again there just isn't the space for 4 people to eat comfortably or the correct amount of cutlery! Please remove the pointless table that the lamp stands on (that we had to take the lamp off of just to have a little space), and put a wardrobe in or a shelving unit.

Positive: If you love to wake up with the sound of chirping birds and surrounded by nature this cozy bungalow is the spot for you! Leydi and her husband are the sweetest people ever! Breakfast is phenomenal! They even spotted a sloth for us and gave us a couple coconuts.

Positive: Bungalow Batsu is an absolute amazing place to stay in. The host Leydi is absoluut amazing and will help you out with anything you need. She speaks English very well and everyday she or her husband will bring you breakfast. The location is absolutely fenomenal and a bit remote, it's a 20 min drive to La Fortuna but that's a fun road to drive. There was a sloth hanging in the tree in the front of the house and the hummingbirds come and go. The air-conditioning is a true delight and the beds are amazing. We stayed here for 3 nights and cannot say one bad word about this bungalow, it's location or the host.
