Positive: Wonderful rural location. Peace and quiet with clear, dark skies. Great location for walks and activities. Comfortable, welcoming, cozy cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Thoughtful, helpful and generous hosts, Phil and Jenny, keep the place in great condition and make sure you have what you need. They have clearly worked hard to renovate the cottage and just wanted us to enjoy our stay. 2 pubs within 10 minutes drive, Halfway in Pisgah was welcoming with great, fairly priced pub food. Hafod in devils Bridge is ideal if you want something a little bit fancier.

Positive: Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a peaceful location. (There was a road directly outside, but barely any traffic). Beautiful views, from all the windows, plus some sheep in the neighbouring field. There's was also a lovely private garden. You could sit there for hours watching birds on the feeder. Close to Aberystwyth and other coastal towns. Spent an evening on the coast watching the sunset.

Negative: The only slight issue with being in a remote area is any shops and restaurants/pubs were 10-15 minutes drive away, but milk, tea and coffee were provided by the owners and we picked up food to bring home on the 1st day out.

Summary: Quiet and restful holiday.

Positive: The peaceful and quiet location, thoughtful and kind welcome treats, comfortable, homely and cosy cottage which is spotlessly clean, everything needed and more supplied, lovely garden. Phone call from the owners to check we enjoyed ourselves was appreciated at the end of our wonderful stay.

Negative: There is absolutely nothing to fault about Bryntrisant as far as we are concerned.
