Summary: GOOD: Great location. Warm in winter. New bathroom. Comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant handy. Carpark at rear. Beautiful old building. NOT SO GOOD: Glass of beer was $13.50 and was completely flat. Large panel heater in room only functioned on high. The Room was warm enough overnight with it turned off.

Summary: Hotel is quite old and very big. Was good for our group as we had a few of us. You can imagine when this would have been the centre of the city. The room was clean and quiet. Staff were excellent - very accommodating.

Summary: It's a great location in the middle of town with ample parking. Check-in was quick and cheerful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good and convenient. Service was very good here too.

Summary: This is a hidden gem of Oamaru. It’s a renovated hotel of yesteryear. Rooms renovated, bathrooms new. We sat by the gas fire in the lounge area in the evening and enjoyed a continental breakfast in the front room in the morning. The ambience is lovely with old world charm. Staff are excellent. We would stay again when in town, that’s the best recommendation that you can give.

Summary: Check in was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We were given a room upgrade. A pleasant surprise. The Bistro and dining room were great. The food was a bit pricey but we didn’t mind paying a bit more to eat in when we were looked after so well. We would stay there again.
