Positive: It is a very beautiful property and the grounds were beautiful. Our bedroom and bathroom were very nice and the bar was very cosy as well. The staff at the main reception were both really lovely and friendly.

Negative: Our room was very cold in the evening and the heating wouldn’t come on no matter what we did, it did come on at some point in the night so it did get very warm. We also found quite a few rose petals on the floor from a previous guest and there was mould on the window seal. The shower was dreadful and is not designed very well and the water ended up going all over the floor and it never got hot. It also made really loud noises any time you flushed the toilet or turned the taps on I just hope it didn’t disturb any other guests. The restaurant manger didn’t come across as very friendly and she was very abrupt when we were asking about food/dinner, it put us off eating there so we went to a pub down the road. The lady told us at reception that there was an issue with the temperature of the pool so we didn’t get to use that which was a shame.

Summary: Overall quite a pleasent stay.
