Stylish detached barn combining contemporary living with original character. Part of Binghams Farm Barns, four renovated barns and cottages nestled quietly in stunning West Dorset countryside only 5 minutes from the bustling market town of Bridport. The local beaches at West Bay, Weymouth & Lyme Regis are an easy drive.
Large private enclosed garden with a further 5 acres of our lovely communal field with kids' play area, dog walk through the ancient bluebell woods and riverside walks beyond.
The space
Detached property set on one storey with easy access and private parking for up to 3 cars.
Open Plan Lounge/ Dining/ Kitchen & separate cloakroom/utility -
The sunny and light open plan double vaulted lounge/kitchen enjoys underfloor heating and woodburner with French doors leading to the patio, wildflower lawn and enclosed grounds.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with NEFF oven, hob and microwave, dishwasher, fridge and picture window overlooking the woodland. The washer/dryer and freezer are in the separate utility/cloakroom.
The comfortable lounge has leather sofas set around the woodburner with a large Freeview/SMART TV and DVD and DAB/Bluetooth radio.
Sun filled corridor leads to the 2 bedrooms with bathroom in between.
Bedrooms & bathroom
Peaceful sleep is assured in the comfortable king size double room with new Silentnight bed and TV.
The large flexible second double bedroom has a zip and link super king which can also be split to 2 full sized singles. Oak furniture and exposed stonework give great character.
The spacious luxury bathroom has a separate bath and shower cubicle. The powerful shower has a folding seat and 2 handles to aid access.
All beds will be made up to your requirements with towels and bath mats provided.
Outdoors
Situated at the end of a shared driveway, Brock Barn has its own double gates with private drive and enclosed gardens ideal for dogs and children.
Access
Both the back door and patio doors have ramp access with handrails and low thresholds.
Enclosed Garden
Sunny patio and seating area with outdoor table and chairs and gas BBQ. The wildflower area and lawns are fully enclosed with a private pedestrian gate leading directly onto the woodland walk.
Access to our spacious 5 acre field and woodland which includes:

Landscaped pathways and dog walks through bluebell woods down to the river. Direct access to the Brit Valley footpaths.
Play Areas
Jungle Gym, trampoline and football goals (used at own risk).
Orchards
Apples, pears, plums and damsons – help yourself to fruit when available.

Guests have access to the entire property with private garden and parking. In addition guests are encouraged to enjoy our landscaped field and woodland. Public footpaths are directly accessible from the property into stunning Dorset countryside.
On Arrival
Flowers from the garden and a tea tray including Lisa's homemade cakes welcome you. Either Lisa or Alistair will meet you, orientate you and help with any questions on local facilities and attractions.
A comprehensive information pack of local pubs and restaurants (dog friendly), shops, beaches and beautiful walks is provided and Lisa & Alistair are always available to offer help and guidance.
We provide quality linen throughout with tea towels, oven gloves, towels and bath mats.

Summary: This property provided a wonderful, restful rural experience - a beautiful setting beside a small wood, a characterful building with modern amenities, a garden and lots of space for the dog to run around, very conveniently located for Bridport and Broadwindsor and local other towns. Summary: We had a fab week. The house was fantastic in beautiful grounds. The children loved the play area and exploring in the woods. Lisa and Alistair were welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Definitely recommend.

Summary: Great property. Dogs 🐕 loved chasing the rabbits and the fox in the garden. Good local pubs where you can eat with the dogs. Near to beaches. Would definitely recommend it

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Brock Barn. The property was lovely and clean and very well maintained. Excellent facilities. The location was perfect to explore the Dorset coast and all the local attractions the county has to offer. I would recommend this property to anyone and we will definitely be going back.

Summary: We would just like to say thank you to Alistair and Lisa for making us feel welcome. We had a lovely time, perfect place to recharge your batteries. The barn was great, everything you need when on holiday, nice private garden, with great walks for the dog in the surrounding areas. Lots to do close by, West Bay and Hive Cove are great little beaches. Some nice country pubs to dine out. Our dog, Hudson had a great time playing with dog on site. Overall we were really pleased with the barn and would definitely return. Scott, Christine, Neve, Max and Hudson

Summary: Brock Barn has been expertly converted into a luxurious holiday home providing absolutely everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The barn is in a very peaceful rural setting with an enclosed garden which was perfect for our dog. We enjoyed visits to four different dog friendly beaches all within easy reach. Our favourite was West Bay where we had lunch at a superb cafe situated right on the beach front which was also dog friendly. We were sorry that we had only booked for four nights!

Summary: The barn is in an enclosed paddock with access to a nice woodland walk as well as a lovely play area. We enjoyed the facilities including a new barbecue and outside terrace and the rural situation is idyllic. We had lovely days on the various local beaches and visited many of the local pubs for dinner in the evenings. We will certainly go back again!

Summary: This holiday let fulfilled all our expectations. It combined modern conveniences with a tranquil rural setting. The cottage was exceptionally well planned. I can't think of anything to say that could have improved it. The nearby town of Bridport had all that one might need in terms of provisions and services.
