Summary: It has charm and beauty. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. It truly captures a feeling of the region's history. The plentiful food, tea and coffee was greatly appreciated. We recommend and will definitely return ourselves for future long weekends where we enjoy the theatre at nearby Stratford. It was worth taking the 40 minute drive to Stratford where accommodation pricing is outrageous.

Summary: It was a very pleasant stay. The house is charming and well cared-for. I appreciated the detailed communications from the owner, explaining how to access the house and the room I was staying in, as well as providing complimentary drinks and suggestions for things to do and places to eat nearby.

Summary: Great location for walking in town. The backyard wasn’t really kept up but has 5 star possibilities with a little TLC. Room was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked for continental breakfast . Would highly recommend.

Summary: So I stayed for 1 night. Yes, the owner continually says that house is old. I have lived in a house older than this but it doesn't need to smell old. I don't believe anyone lives on-site but the exterior of the property needs some attention.Cobwebs and overgrown bushes in the backyard. The interior needs a refresher. When you list as a BnB that usually means someone is there making breakfast. Not serve yourself cold cereal, yogurt, bagel or bananas. The best part of my stay was the excellent water pressure in the shower.

Summary: The Bristow's Inn has a wonderful Victorian character. The room and common areas are nicely furnished with period furniture and decorated with local hand made decorations like quilts, signs. The location is good too. While the communication with the owner was clear and prompt, it was always via email or text. We never saw the owner or any staff which makes the stay a bit impersonal. Some guests may prefer the independent stay, we prefer the human contact. That being said, all instructions and signs are very clear and things, including breakfast are easy to find. Breakfast is self-serve, which is a bit unusual in an inn. It had good variety od bagels, muffins, bread, fruit, yogurts and local jams but it did not feel like anything special as you would expect in an inn or B&B. We still had a nice stay and would return.

Summary: Great little spot in the area! Historical charm, welcoming vibe and community. You'll pretty much have everything you need at a hotel, just packaged in a cutesy, cottagey format. Lots of cool art and things to see.
