Positive: The property is well maintained and clean, the hosts were very helpful and friendly, there is plenty of information regarding local places to visit. We particularly recommend Steaks Of The Lakes in Keswick, and for more local meals the Anglers Arms just up the road, their food and service was great! The Location was ideal for access to all the tourist type attractions the Lake District has to offer. It is a shame there is no outside space for this property, but allocated parking for two vehicles was great.
Negative: We didn't realise there are 4 flights of stairs from the outside door to gain access into the property, which were a challenge for our elderly parents (79 & 82 years old) but as we tried to only use them twice a day (once to go out in the morning and once upon our return in the evening), we did manage, but it would be best to make that very clear to future guests.
Summary: A very comfortable place to stay, perfect for visiting the Lake District.

Positive: Pub in walking distance and train station. We had lovely day out with the kids on the steam train to bowness. We stayed for cartmel races which was a short 15 min drive away

Positive: The property was clean, spacious and cosy. We had a small issue with hot water but the host resolved it within minutes.
Summary: A peaceful riverside stay with lovely views. Perfectly located near Haverthwaite station, which was a good spot to start
