Summary: The Brigatine Hotel is a vintage building close to the bay in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia. It has a small restaurant and many rooms. Unfortunately, we had a room in what was called “The Annex”. Our room was not in the Brigatine Hotel at all! It was across the street in a smaller, house. We are in our mid 70s. We had to lug our heavy luggage up a stairway entrance, with very loose and rotting railings. Once in the house, we had to drag the luggage up a winding, narrow stairway to the second floor. The upper floor had two nice bedrooms with TVs and a sitting room with a partial kitchen and a bathroom down the hall from the bedrooms. The upper floor could not be closed off, since it all was open to the entry door on the main floor, which had two locked doors to a first floor unit. We hated not being able to lock our unit upstairs. The tub didn’t drain right and the it filled as we showered. There was bottles of conditioner, but no shampoo. The room keys were in a sleeve and the internet info on the keys did not work. In the morning, we found a card in the sitting room, letting us know that the internet for the Annex was not the same as the hotel. We had no time to use internet for our next day plans. The person who checked us in was waiting tables and quickly checked us in and pointed to the house across the street and had us figure it out ourselves. We paid almost $300 for this unit. We could have done much better with all the cute hotels in town.

Summary: Rooms in poor condition, everything is way outdated, carpet is wrinkled and not really attached to floor, hot tub leaks, lights bulbs burnt out, door handles on night stand broke, 1 window is broken and cant be open, hot tub leaks and dirty, check in was a mess, you have to check in at a crowed bar with all your bags, parking is a nightmare.

Summary: It was the smallest, oldest, dated and room I've I've ever stayed in. Only 1 towel for 2 people, I had to get mugs and supplies for coffee myself. You check in through the bar downstairs with a waitress. I thought I was getting a sea view, window faced side of building, not as pictures describe. Only plus was there was air con that worked and a little fridge, bedding was clean. Paid $172 for the one night, not even worth $80.

Summary: Great location on the water, but the first thing I saw was very dirty (it was caked on) carpet. Then the extra blanket had a stain on it. Bed was super uncomfortable. Doesn’t seem like there is much care that goes into this property.

Summary: Had to drive around look for parking. Had to pay at the meter one you found a spot to park. Location was good since right across the wharf to see the ships. Good restaurant downstairs and staff were great. Could use a few blinds/curtain for the door to balcony. Good location.
