Summary: Quaint simple hotel with delightful bar and restaurant that served me when I arrived even though a power outage caused them to technically close the place temporarily. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and bathrooms are clean. My only complaint was the water was a little hazy looking so I had to go down the street to get some bottled water but probably could have just asked downstairs for some.

Summary: Skip this out dated hotel. No coffee machine. No refrigerator. AC was provided by a vintage window air conditioner with a placard tell you not to use it on high for long periods as it would freeze up and not cool. Exactly what happened to us. Work up in the middle of the night to a sweltering room. Why is it my responsibility to cycle the AC to avoid freezing up? Get a freakin modern AC unit!!! Shower had such low pressure I could barely rinse my hair. Property is extremely old and not in the fun vintage vibe. Just not kept up with current hotel standards. There are many other choices in Bridgeport.

Summary: No A/C so it was miserably hot. Had to get the sheets soaked with water to make the night bearable. They should at least provide a ceiling fan.

Summary: We were lucky to find the Bridgeport Inn. It dates from the 19th century and has a lot of character. We were charmed. The small rooms are well-maintained and clean as a whistle. Definitely recommended!

Summary: The toilet was very low to the ground. There was no coffee unless you bought breakfast for an outrageous price. The pillows were flimsy the door lock was hard to open and lock. The cold water in the sink dripped all the time. Staff was nice until we didn’t go to their fundraiser

Summary: I always wanted to stay at the Bridgeport Inn and finally got my chance - I was not disappointed and in fact it was even better than I hoped! It's not your typical hotel/motel experience so if that's what you want you should try somewhere else. But, if you want to stay in a cool old hotel, love antiques and history, and enjoy a great bar and food then this is your place. I got a single room with a bathroom since I was concerned about bathroom privacy. I checked out the shared bathroom situation since it's not well described on the hotel site - it's a shared bathroom but the bathroom itself is private behind a door; same as the shower room. I would not hesitate to get one of those rooms in the future. The motel part (new building) was not appealing to me but I like the old buildings so maybe that's just me. I will be looking for a reason to stay here again!

Summary: Overall a good stay. That said, the mattress was uncomfortable. Also, there was no guidance as to how to turn the heat on. And there were very few plugs to charge phones etc. Again, a good stay overall but don't expect too much.
