Summary: wasnt enough food options ,under 18 year olds coudnt use day spa and bar closed by 8.30pm ,for the cost i wasnt happy

Summary: Well taken care of, close to the ski slopes, cosy rooms, friendly staff, convenient food options, great breakfast delivered to the rooms. Luggage and ski storage, accommodating if you arrive early and plan to depart late by storing the luggage.

Summary: Breathtaker Hotel & Spa at Mt Buller was indeed breathtaking! We were a party of 4A2C and it was our first time at a ski resort. We spent 3D2N thru the beginning of the season. We had planned for the trip 6mths in advance to ensure a memorable trip for the young and old. And we are certainly glad we chose Breathtaker. Pre trip, we were slightly taken by their rates and how fast they were booked out. We asked plenty questions and Breathtaker’s folks were always prompt with their replies. Kaidi & Anne were patient and their service level assured us that we made the right choice booking our stay with them. We enquired about driving up the mountain ourselves, figuring out parking at the property to eventually booking their transfer service from The Sebel to take us safely up Mt Buller. Transfer service was great! Drivers were welcoming, helped with our luggages and settled the kids in the vehicle. Drive was smooth and we enjoyed the sights without worrying for our safety. During our stay, every staff we met greeted us with gusto. Thank you Jaime & team! Breathtaker is a cosy property without elevator/lift. We booked a 2-bedrm apt and it served us well. The attached kitchenette worked great for us - we were able to whip simple meals for times we stayed in. Facilities were great too - we love the kids playroom on level2. We loved the happy hour service at Loft Bar as well as the food served at the Signature Restaurant. So good! We’d love to be back!

Summary: I have stayed at Breathtaker before and enjoyed both stays. The previous stay was prior to the recent renovations, which have tidied up the lobby & breakfast area for the better, however left the loft space feeling a lot less cosy and a bit sterile. Unfortunately this time, we experienced bad cooking odours and a fair degree of noise from a neighbouring apartment. The building doesn't have particularly great noise insulation, with scents seeming to waft via the shared vent system. Management did compensate us for the negative experience, which was reassuring that these concerns were taken on board. My previous visit seemed to be far less noisy in one of the smaller one storey appartments, where as he larger two storey apartment had serious noise and smell issues. Breathtaker is overall a great place to stay if you land a quiet room with quiet considerate neighbours. The spa is a pleasant place to restore and relax after a day out on he snow and staff seem to have improved since the previous visit, with terrific service and very polite attitude.

Summary: Hotel was selling itself as ski in/out. This was not totally correct. Whilst the walk was short you still had to walk 70m to the chair lift. The hotel is definitely on the snow but I would not class it as ski in/out based on my previous experience. (Having said that I have not booked any other ski in/out hotels on Hotel.com to know if this this is a normal classification for this style of accommodation). We stayed in a 6 bedroom room. 1 double bed and 4 bunks. The living room was tiny & did not have a view towards the snow or mountains. Kitchenette was unpractical to work in. These were the main disappointments. There are other rooms in the complex which I am sure would be better. The complex itself was very clean and professional. Breakfast included was lovely. The best croissants I have ever eaten. (supplied from the Mansfield bakery). The spa, sauna and lap pool in the complex were excellent. Would be better if they stayed open after 6:00pm. You have to try one of their desert pizzas, delicious.

Summary: It was my daughters first time at the snow, and the whole trip was absolutely magical. The Breathtaker Hotel made our whole trip so enjoyable! The staff couldn't do enough to help us and went above and beyond from the moment we got there to when we left. The location couldn't have been more perfect, a short walk to the ski lifts, the ski school, and the village. Grimus ski hire was just next door and their service was also excellent. The only negative was that I wish there were healthier menu options, especially for the kids. Thank you!
