Positive: The cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed. We have stayed in many self catering places, none as well equipped as this one. I wouldn't worry about previous reviews stating you are overlooked, or worry about owners, we didn't see the owners once and enjoyed the hot tub for 3 nights with no issues whatsoever. The accommodation only officially allows 1 dog but the owner kindly negotiated our 2 small dogs as I contacted them before arrival. In my car my partner and I were traveling with my mum, the layout of the accomodation meant that each room had their own space. Brilliant place to stay! We are researching where they got their beds because they were so comfortable!
Negative: Honestly finding it hard to fault the place, others have commented that hot tub takes a while to heat, but this is the case with wood fired ones, it was quite easy to get going and went very hot once temperature reached. Also once it was hot it stayed hot for a long time. Well done and thanks for a lovely stay.

Positive: Everything, it was a lovely, well fitted out cottage.
Negative: Hot tub was difficult to heat up, but I enjoyed the peace whilst lighting it and getting the fire going.
Summary: Excellent, would highly recommend.

Positive: Beautiful decor, excellent amenities, and the welcome hamper & cake was amazing.
Negative: We felt extremely uncomfortable and saddened when the owner came round on our second morning to inform us we should have booked the dog in, despite this not being an option on Booking.com. We wouldn’t have minded if they’d asked us about it, rather than assuming we’d purposely not booked her in. Being a dog friendly accommodation, we assumed we’d be okay with her. As a very anxious couple, this unsettled us for the rest of our stay as we felt we couldn’t fully relax as we were in someone else’s property. Also, the hot tub is completely on looked by the owners house, not private at all, so we did our best to be quiet, talking in a whisper and not staying out too late, as to not disturb the owners.
Summary: Gorgeous cottage, *almost* dog friendly.
