Summary: I stayed at the Bowling Green hotel before a funeral the next day. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a nice shower room; the tv worked, etc. It was particularly convenient that breakfast and snack items were left out for guests to help themselves. The staff were generally helpful- eg coming up without delay to close a high window. The next morning the proprietor Mark offered me a lift to Southern Cemetery- very much beyond the call of any ‘duty’ and for which I was immensely grateful. He even offered me a coffee from the pub while I was waiting. An excellent experience.
