Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The property was as advertised and perfect for our needs. Clean, cosy & comfortable and close to our friends in the village. The owners are friendly and accommodating.

Negative: The locks and keys are old. We had some difficulties with the black front door lock and the back door lock is extremely stiff. I have arthritis and was unable to either lock or unlock the back door. The first few mornings were quite chilly and because the central heating is controlled by the owners in the adjoining house, we were unable to turn on the heating and had to request that it was turned on for a short while to warm things up, and also to remind them a couple of times. The water tank is also shared by the adjoining house and one morning I had a cold shower. When we reported this, we were advised that the owners had visitors who had showered before me and emptied the water tank.

Summary: Overall good, though the owners should review the locks, heating controls & shared water tank.

Positive: The location was perfect for us and chosen for our needs that week, visiting family. A lovely property plenty of room for two people. Comfortable bed. Very quiet even though it’s next to the road. Amazing farm shop/cafe just around the corner. Suitably equipped for a short stay.

Negative: Our host was very friendly and welcoming, however, with an adjoining door to her property she did, after knocking, walk in at an inconvenient moment! Parking was in the road outside the property, and although we managed to park, unfortunately my car was hit by a passing vehicle leaving a dent and scratches. Only one wine glass which, I felt should have been checked before. Shower was a tight squeeze, especially for my partner who is 6ft 3”!

Summary: Overall a lovely stay, we would go back and recommend to others.
