Positive: Beautiful property and surroundings well appointed rooms

Negative: The management was lacking. More staff need to be on hand and hired it felt like the staff were over there heads and couldn't keep up. The food wasn't open and the breakfast was far from impressive if I could have gotten a refund on the food I would have but when I asked about compensation it was said to me that it's my choice to not have breakfast. There needs to be a big overhaul on the management I appreciate the staff efforts to help but again it was comming from management not the staff

Positive: The building is lovely (an old pub), the decor was good and the room was nicely presented. The bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping lady was very friendly and welcoming, she met us at breakfast both mornings and nothing was too much trouble. Good breakfast served both mornings.

Negative: The pub was shut the first night and opened for a limited menu the second night. Due to staffing issues, the pub is huge to be shut Friday night and limited to a couple of people drinking in the overgrown garden Saturday was a surprise.

Positive: We liked everything. This is a lovely inn. Very clean and comfy. Exceptional evening meal and breakfast. Excellent cheff. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Traditional pub, warm, cosy, log fire, camel light and great drinks. Room was very nice. Nice view and range of coffee and teas. Highly recommend and would stay again. Priced just right.

Negative: The vanity mirror over bathroom sink, unfortunately the light bulbs were no longer working and need replacing in room 4.

Summary: Very nice country inn. Exceptional food and atmosphere.

Negative: Rooms should be updated look a bit tired looks like there are a few leaks coming from the roof hope new owner’s address those issues
