Summary: The grounds are beautiful, but the service is lacking. They are very understaffed. While, the staff was typically professional. I would not describe them as engaging. Calabash is average food at best, and the staff gets overwhelmed very easy. The food takes forever. We did have a wonderful time in Barbados in general and did not spend much time at the resort. The beach was almost always too rough at the resort, but the morning that we left, it was beautiful and flat. It is a smaller resort and not so crowded which is nice. Room cleaning service was great and always done.

Summary: Wonderful hotel in a great location on the south coast of Barbados. Calabash restaurant has great food, and the hotel has two lovely pools (one adults only, complete with in-pool bar seats for the pool bar).

Summary: The room we were assigned was not cleaned from the previous guest. They did provide us with another room, but we did not receive the king bed with an ocean view, we got two double beds with a pool view. The alternative room was cleaned. Both rooms plus our friend’s room were dated. The rooms need a refresh. I would give this a two star rating for a five star price. The grounds and the beach are nice.

Summary: Staff are very friendly. If you need a washing machine they have one on site free to use just need your own soap. To dry clothes they charge 10.50BBD. Close to a lot of things masseys grocery 10min drive. This side of the island can have a lot of waves and we were only able to go in ocean 2 times. You can always take a cab to west coast and swim Carlyle Bay which is popular but may need to sit on beach. The pool area made up for lack of swimming in ocean is nice. Always had entertainment each night which was a huge plus didn’t feel you needed to go anywhere. Calabash bistro is nice food. It’s quiet on Fridays as everyone attends the fish fry which is just down beach. Only 15 min to airport

Summary: Really nice spot. Low key. Went end of January 2025. Weather was beautiful, steady 85 degrees. Staff very helpful with calling car service for anywhere you want to go. Exchange of currency at front desk. Natasha was AMAZING, we loved her. A bit laid back on the island, I’m from New York so I always rush rush rush. Drink the tap water, it’s better than the bottled water there! Super hot showers! The only downfall is the random people walking up to you at night if you’re hanging out on beach chairs. They do have security around the clock walking around. Will rate 5/5 even with this issue—you just can’t be stupid. Not far from the st Lawrence gap. About 40 minutes from Carlisle bay (must go here on your trip)

Summary: The property was lovely and our room was great however it was a bit out of the way/secluded and you had to walk a fair distance along a road that had some dark areas to get to a ZR bus stop. Also the ocean was quite choppy in front of the property. We love to swim in the ocean but needed to walk up to Sandals area to swim as they have a breakwater. Still wasn’t totally calm there either.
