Positive: The 🚿 shower had hot water.The Room was were nice plus had. Bolcany with table and shairs.

Negative: The Cafemaker was not clean at all the tv had no internet to watch tv.

Positive: I booked the place kinda last minute, so I was glad there was still a room available. I had my rental car, I was able to park very easily right in front of my room/check in area. It was a great deal, and you literally can't get any closer to the entry to the volcano hiking trail (Ilametepec/Santa Ana). The staff met me for check in, which was pretty late if I remember correctly, so kudos for that. The room itself met my basic needs, nothing fancy but I don't need fancy. I just needed to put my head down, shower and head out in the morning.

Negative: I don't remember 100% if there was central A/C or not. I might've seen some mosquitos here and there in the room, but that's expected.

Summary: Convenient location next to entry to volcano hiking trail, affordable, spacious parking

Positive: great location and right at the start of the hike to the volcano. Alejandro was very nice and welcoming.

Negative: They charged us for asking for another blanket because it was cold at night and all we had was a simple sheet and one blanket.

Summary: Good solid place. No glaring negatives but it's REALLY basic.

Positive: Read before you book: This accommodation was affordable compared to other places for people heading to Santa ana volcano early in the morning. It does not have wifi. And I did not have cellular service there. So if you can't live without internet access, then I would recommend not booking here or coming later at night and just using this as a convenient place to sleep before the hike in the morning. The room I had was fine. It gets chilly up in the mountain at night. The staff there was super nice, but spoke minimal English. There are tour guides outside of the hotel in the morning waiting for people to take on private tours. I believe going up the volcano still requires a guide. If u drive up to the top at the meeting area then you'll get a public guide that will cost $3/person and you'll go with a large group and it'll be a really slow hike. If you are a fast hiker it might be useful to get a private guide instead.

Positive: Hotel was quiet and very close to the volcanoes. Breakfast was great. Easy to find a guide and hiking to the volcano starts right from the hotel!

Negative: Electric shower wasn't working the first night, so we had to go to a different room to take a hot shower. We didn't have enough cash to pay for the hotel and the reception guy said he needed to talk to the manager to see if we could pay the next day. (He said when a guest uses booking.com, they usually ask him to pay all nights in advance when he gets to the hotel...) Eventually he said we could stay and pay him the next day, which we did. It's ok to be disconnected from the outside world, but it comes with consequences, like not being able to pay with credit card. Maybe they could be more flexible and accept payments online when you do the booking.
