Positive: Borgo la Morra is a beautiful and very cute small hotel-resort with only a few rooms and two apartments available. The hosts are really nice and friendly. We stayed in the lovely apartment Rita which has a walk in closet, spacious bathroom and separate spacious master bedroom. The bed is very comfortable, and you get 4 pillows. I wasn’t aware we had to book a bed for our 2 year old, but the host was so nice to provide us with one for free (usually that’s apparently €40 per night which is a bit much) so it made it even nicer of him to provide it! There is a nice pool, and there is always a set of sun-beds, seats & umbrella’s available at the pool. The host will reserve as many sun-beds for all the guests so no need to put your towel somewhere in the morning. Also… there is a Jacuzzi. Please notice the Jacuzzi is only open until 7pm! The hotel will provide two hammam towels and a pool-bag for guests in the resort for during your stay. We also brought our own pool towels as I prefer thicker towels. One of the things I already miss is the sound of the birds chirping in the morning. At home we have a Zwitscherbox at home playing the same sounds and it is so relaxing. I also can’t forget to mention the amazing views and also the amazing state of maintenance. It’s clean, well maintained and even at night we went for a mini stroll in the evening with our toddler. Another plus: free parking on site. There is a gate at the entrance and no need to drive small roads you prefer not to drive on to enter the resort/hotel 🤭. After a precious experience in Greece, we were a bit afraid we had to go on bumpy and rocky roads but no need to worry about that. Upon arrival the oven didn’t seem the work, but it was solved immediately (we could use another kitchen for that moment) and the next morning it was replaced with a new one. Also, the kitchen has a large table, large fridge and freezer, a stove-top and dishwasher (huge plus) plus over.

Negative: Hard to say. There is always room for improvement, but nothing that would impact my rating/score. - Standard provide a coffee-maker/machine in the apartments (and/or suites). I always like that when I am traveling. We received one from the host when we asked for it :) - Thicker pool-towels (probably personal preference). - Longer opening hours for jacuzzi, but on the other hand I also understand that the hosts want some time off as well as it is ran by the two owners alone.

The place has such a great energy – stylish, spotless, and super comfortable. The team made us feel right at home, always helpful and smiling.. Every little detail was on point. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave.

Positive: Borgo La Morra was absolutely perfect for our family of four (my husband, myself, our 4-year-old, and my mother). We stayed in two suites that were connected by a shared foyer area, and each had a private bathroom. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. And the property is gorgeous! The photos we took could never do justice to the stunning views of the Italian countryside. But the best part of our stay was Giovanni's hospitality. We was warm and friendly and there to help with whatever we needed. Chatting with him at breakfast made for a lovely start to each day. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again one day!

Positive: The owners were hospitable, warm, and friendly. Giovanni made excellent recommendations about where to park in the neighborung cities, artisanal farm visits and helped us to organise activities in the area. Fantastic communication. The villa was in a wonderful location that looked out to the beautiful countryside, a tranquil place where the soul can relax and the body can breathe. Our apartment was well furnished from kitchen, bathroom, to laundry. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Positive: What can I say ? It was amazing stay. :) From breakfast on the patio with a truly breathtaking views to evenings spent near the pool watching stars all accompanied by family atmosphere created by Giovanni and his family. Well it is exceptional place for sure. Traveling for the first time with our 9 months son, we felt a bit unsure but we really had a great time and we felt almost like at home. Other big pluses: - rooms are very clean - surroundings beautiful and Giovanni invest a lot of time in taking care of the garden etc. - there are some routes for trekking (it is difficult with a baby but maybe someone will find it interesting) - breakfasts are great (there is wide variety of things to chose from) - there are some activities that can be organised by the owner (visit to Parmigiano Regiano diary or Aceto Balsamico producers, or wine tasting) - if the weather is bad there is table tennis or some board games available - Giovanni is very open to provide recommendations on nearby places to see

Negative: Well, if you are not used to driving in the mountains it might be a bit difficult in the beginning to get there but it surely makes the place even more exclusive :) Also, you need to be careful to book a table in Pavullo's restaurants as there not always may be a free one.

Positive: This property is exceptional. Clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. Our room was super spacious. The location is quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay. The gardens and pool area are beautifully maintained and have gorgeous views over the valley. A comprehensive breakfast was offered each day and it was delicious. We had our breakfast on the terrace as the weather permitted. Giovanni the owner, was very hospitable and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at Borgo La Morra. I will be recommending it to all my friends.
