Positive: The hotel has an amazing view of Etna and the host was incredibly welcoming. Swimming in the pool looking up at the impressive Etna at the edge of an orchard is very relaxing and the rooms are spacious and clean. For lunch or dinner you need to leave the property and drive the 4km to Centuripe or 7km to Paterno. This isn’t particularly clear on the websites, booking.com etc. Breakfast was basic but functional Beware of driving into the very centre of Centuripe, google maps didn’t work and it’s easy to get lost. Park on the edge of town and walk the last bit. The town is beautiful and the locals extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks to Louis and his pals :-)

Negative: Air conditioning in our room was ineffectual, although the noisy fan worked it did not cool the room, whether it needs maintenance or just a poor design I’m not sure but other guests experienced the same issue. Sleeping in the heat was very difficult and uncomfortable.

Positive: The location was perfect, out in the countryside ... so peaceful, quiwt ans safe. Our room was on the ground floor and was perfect for someone with restricted mobility. Giovanna, the owner, was amazing, helpful, and very organised!! The children loved the pool with stunning views of Etna!
