Positive: The villa was absolutely perfect for our family. Everything was well appointed and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, and the terrace was fabulous - overlooking the vineyard and with a view to the mountains. The beds were comfortable with a variety of pillows (not just the soft type that disappear when you sleep). All of the rooms were air-conditioned, which was perfect. The villa is adjacent to the pool, so we were able to relax on loungers and order a wine while we watched our children. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super nice. We also enjoyed a wine tasting onsite, which came with a delicious aperitivo showcasing many local cheeses and cured meats. There are a number of good restaurants in the area and the beach was a 20-minute drive. The resort is well placed for exploring small villages and towns in the area. A great experience in Abruzzo!

Negative: Not necessary a real negative, but there is no onsite restaurant for dinner (even during peak season). We enjoy cooking so the villa kitchen was perfect, however any restaurants require a car. Also, we were unable to charge our hybrid car as the stations were only Mini and Porsche.

Positive: Sure! Here’s the English translation: ⸻ We stayed at Borgo Basilia for 5 nights with our two older children and really enjoyed it. The unit we rented was large and spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which made getting organized much easier. The staff was wonderful, especially the girl who helped us was truly lovely—she gave us great recommendations and checked in with us daily to see how we were doing. Breakfast was simply excellent, with a wide selection and delicious pastries. The lovely woman who prepares breakfast was delightful, and it was a pleasure to see her every morning. The pool is perfect, and the view of the vineyard is breathtaking. Definitely a luxurious place—we highly recommend it! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like a shorter or more formal version.

Positive: Our stay at Borgo Baccile was in one word fantastic!! Everything was beyond our expectations. The house we stayed in was beautiful, clean, spacious. The service was fantastic. Everyone of the staff was so helpful and answered all our questions. The pool was amazing, also the breakfast was fantastic! We for sure would recommend to stay at Borgo Baccile if you look for a nice place to stay!

Positive: Very beautiful place, details oriented from a design point of view. Spaces around are well maintained, they have bikes available and a beautiful garden for picnic, even if they don’t provide service for it during low season. We addressed a complaint about the pool that was not available, however they tried to accommodate our request successfully.

Negative: Missing opportunities for services during low season. When we arrived, the pool was closed and it was not mentioned in the confirmation of our reservation, disappointing everyone very much, especially our kids. Also many services included in their description were missing, such as the welcome bottle of wine and room service. We brought to their attention that we didn’t receive the mentioned bottle of wine as a welcome, and they said they would shortly give it to us, but never received. They kindly gifted us with wine when we left though, for all the inconveniences during our stay, and it was nice from them. There was no bar at all, and no reception after 8 pm, so in case we would need anything such as water or something else, we would go to the first supermarket available very far from there. We arrived quite starving, and unfortunately there was no chance to get food anywhere near, not exactly what we were expecting. For breakfast, we had to decide the day before and order it way too in advance; kids change their mind very quickly especially about food, it also happens to an adult to change mind about breakfast from a day to another, so it felt a bit unpleasant. When we arrived I asked the concierge a list of activities to do in the area with kids, unfortunately as resort they didn’t have much of activities to offer, and I ended up finding something by myself. Luckly they had bikes, this service was complementary. It would have been nice if they could offer us the possibility to do at list a picnic in the beautiful garden they have, this is a package they could definitely offer to their guests and it is a big missed opportunity. During our stay cleaning was not included for stays shorter than 3 days, and I ended up cleaning our apartment. Not exactly what I was expecting since I always do that at home and I really wanted to avoid that on holiday.
