Located right outside of Lafayette, get away from it all and connect to Louisiana's Cajun and Creole countryside.
Our peaceful farm is a great retreat – excellent for the fine art of relaxing - with lots of natural light and many amenities. Our setting is pastoral and we're within easy reach of so much of south Louisiana's great food, music and culture.
Come stay for a weekend, week, or a bit more!

Summary: We needed a relaxing weekend getaway and Jen provided that, and so much more. Jen is an excellent host, super kind and has created a truly magical space! Bonne Terre has a 5 star rating for a reason! The studio was very clean and is equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We cooked all of our meals in the very well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and delicious coffee provided. Even the smallest touches of hospitality throughout did not go unnoticed! The studio is beautifully decorated, filled with culture and creativity. We spent most of our time just relaxing and making our way through the extensive vinyl collection. There are also many books and movies dedicated to Louisiana culture. The whole farm is so charming! Jen introduced us to all of her animals and gave us a lovely tour of her gardens. It was nice to relax outside and just listen to the sounds of nature. We will definitely return in the future!

Summary: My wife and really enjoyed our stay at Bonne Terre. After a very l-o-n-g Minnesota winter, we just wanted a get-away where we could feel the sun, and see blue skies and green trees. And this place delivered all of that and more. Just a short drive out of Breaux Bridge on a small organic farm, Bonne Terre is teeming with life. The animals are very well cared for and have lots of space to roam, and the gardens are beautiful. Ducks splash around in small pools and butterflies flit by. Our stay in the studio was just what we needed - a nice comfortable space with all the amenities. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy bed, GOOD coffee in the morning, farm fresh eggs in the fridge... You're close enough to all of the fun activities around Lafayette and its surrounding towns, but still left to enjoy the landscape of life in the slow lane. We'll be back!

Summary: Great little stay!! Really enjoyed something totally different than what we would usually book. Very clean!! Super great communication with Jen. Fresh eggs!! Only small complaint is we are used to a memory foam bed at home, so the bed was a tiny bit hard for our liking but we were so worn out from a good time we slept just fine!!

Summary: A delightful, relaxing place. It’s secluded enough to be a true rural experience, but also close to anything you might need in Breaux Bridge (crawfish, for example) or Lafayette.

Summary: This place was so much more than we excepted! It is by far the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed at! We were overwhelmed with hints of Louisiana history, art, and music. The host...well, she made us feel like family!

Summary: Jen was a welcoming and attentive host. The studio was bright and spacious, decorated with fun artwork and outfitted with anything and everything one could possibly need. An especially great spot for lovers of music and nature. We were sad to leave and hope to come back again.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for a Valentine's Day weekend getaway. We could not have been more happy with our choice! I can't say enough about Bonne Terre! I knew it was the place for us the minute we drove in. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Jen is the most gracious and wonderful host. Her attention to detail is the best! We stayed in the Studio, and it had all the comforts of home. It is adorable, decorated beautifully, and a true home away from home. We loved sitting out by the fire pit at night, and our visits from Bruce the cat. She is a friendly girl. We also loved listened to music on the turntable at night while we drank some wine. If you are an animal lover, Bonne Terre is the place for you! We had several great meals. Cafe Sydnie Mae is a must in Breaux Bridge- try the Teche Wellington. Another favorite meal was at Cafe Josephine in Sunset. Some really great antique stores there as well. Also had a great brunch at French Press in Lafayette the day we left. Highly recommend it too. We can't wait to get back some time this year. It truly is a cajun paradise! Jen is a ray of sunshine! Book at Bonne Terre and you'll see what I mean. Thanks Jen!

Summary: The studio apartment is spotless, well stocked with everything you could need, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Lots of beautiful wood paneling and trim makes it feel like a cabin in the woods. The host is exceptionally gracious and helpful. If you like to cook, the kitchen has everything you need..it is better stocked than my own kitchen at home. There is a wonderful assortment of books to read including many on the history of the area and many movies to watch. The setting is so quiet and peaceful. The only thing we ever heard was an occasional crowing of the roosters. If you have time, ask for a brief tour of the farm and meet the fancy chickens, goats, horses and cow.
