Positive: Loved the grounds of the resort, totally in the nature with birds & insects all around. Amazing hikes in the rainforest reserve e.g. Antelope Falls, not many people around. Had dinner & breakfast in the bar/restaurant which we really enjoyed (prices in US$ only). The girl behind the bar was lovely & took the time to chat to us about Belize & taught us some creole phrases - 10/10 for her but can’t remember her name sadly! Wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night.

Positive: Fabulous nature setting, food excellent if pricey, guests have easy access to wonderful hikes, and the staff are friendly. One reviewer mentioned the best coconut mojito ever -- and she was right! The gardens are very well-tended, with numerous flowering plants and lovely arches of flowers over some pathways. Pet guinea fowl wander on the grounds.

Negative: The noise was frequent and jarring in this serene setting. Groaning lawnmowers awakened us the first day and a loud generator drowned dusk and night sounds from 4pm to 1 am. We observed that one mower inexplicably left his machine running/spluttering for over 10 minutes when he went off to do something. Maybe mowing could be limited to when the generator MUST be on? Can some sound-proofing enclose the generator? Also, some extra nature touches would be nice, e.g. thatch on top of ugly corrugated iron roofs, such as the one outside the window of one suite, (decorative) wooden/bamboo beams on the ceilings inside, hammocks and swings in various places to enhance the relaxing atmosphere.

Summary: We liked this resort very much - it was special but could be EXTRA special with a few extra touches!

Positive: The food was awesome! All the normal things available but the quality was awesome and the cook, Ms. J, was spectacular, friendly and made some good choices for dinner! She even made me a cake on my birthday. All of the staff was nice and I would go back! The hikes that were close were amazing and the adventure center is right on property! The zip-lining and and the repelling were awesome! I also received a massage form Hannah. I was not disappointed she had strong hands only because I asked but she had a true passion for massage. She came right to my porch. She did a great therapeutic massage.

Negative: I didn't like how far it was from a town butttttt thats what it means to be in the middle of a rainforest! LOL Also the bugs but again a rainforest. Take supplies if you need.

Positive: A lovely location in the National Park. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent - competent, helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed ziplining and a night hike.

Negative: Take bug spray to use and cover up. Being jungle there's lots of biting insects
