Summary: Its a nicely located property surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The location up on the hill makes for a nice breeze most of the day, very helpful to cool things down a bit on a summer day/evening. The interior is bright and enhances the tropical feel, and everything was clean and in working order. We liked the ability to cook our own meals, because it makes life simpler during longer stays, and the Big Rock grocery store is only a few minutes away. Rainbow Bay is nice and quiet on one hand, but there are not too many restaurants within 15 minutes driving distance. Most of the better places are at or near Governors Harbor, and that is about 40 minutes to the south. The property manager, Brenda, was always helpful when we had questions and has a cheerful attitude. She actually runs a BBQ in nearby James Cistern (on Fri and Sat), and the food is pretty good and she also does take-out. We liked the place for its privacy and easy access to everything that the North half of the island has to offer. It is very likely that we will rent here on out next visit.

Summary: The place was nice, clean and peaceful. However, when Brenda was contacted about the keys to check-in she was very rude and stated “what am I calling her for”. When there was clear instructions to contact her prior to checking in. That was very distasteful. But overall I had a good stay.

Summary: Blue Skies cottage is strategically located in the heart of Rainbow Bay, in the middle of Eleuthera Island, making it the perfect home-away-from-home 'getaway'. You're minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches on the island and just a few miles from some great restaurants such as The Front Porch, Rainbow Bay Inn and the recently opened beach front pub called The Deck. Due to its central location, and with a short drive, you can reach beautiful beaches in the north or south side of the island and other main attractions such as Glass Window Bridge. Not being located on the beach will turn out to be an extra plus at sunrise and sundown since the Eleutheran sand flies won't be an issue! :-) The rental is a beautiful and quaint 2 bedroom cottage, perfect for a couple or a family with 2 children, tastefully decorated, extremely well maintained and a very clean property. Everything you'll need for your stay is available: central AC, ceiling fans, dishwasher, microwave, dryer etc. The owners have definitely taken the extra step in furnishing the cottage in a special way to make you feel 'at home' during your vacation and provide detailed and courteous customer service on line. The caretakers are very kind locals who will take care of you and remain available at all times for any needs you may have during your stay. I highly recommend this cottage - you will not be disappointed. The rental exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this property to my closest friends. Summary: Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana al Blue Skies Cottage e devo dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo: arredamento semplice nuovo e molto carino, cucina super attrezzata, aria condizionata, insomma non mancava niente. La nostra fortuna è stata quella di poter conoscere i proprietari, Roberto e la moglie, due persone a dir poco speciali. Ci hanno accolto e ci hanno dato consigli preziosi su come trascorrere le nostre giornate sull'isola. In casa abbiamo anche trovato a disposizione degli ospiti un libricino con tutte le indicazioni dettagliate su come raggiungere gran parte delle spiagge. Il Cottage è in una posizione strategica, è quasi al centro dell'isola e si ha così la possibilità di visitarla praticamente tutta. Rainbow bay che è la spiaggia a due passi dal Cottage è una tra le più belle! Insomma tutto veramente fantastico. Eleuthera e il Blue Skies Cottage sono rimasti nel nostro cuore. Ci torneremo sicuramente!!!!!

Summary: Clean and lovely furnished and decorated cottage. Beach on Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the island close by. Correspondence with the Roberto the owner was excellent and the cottage was clean and lovely decorated. Cannot mention any restaurant as October was low season an most restaurants closed. Grocery stores in James Cistern and other villages availabe. We definitely can recommend this cottage. Rainbow Bay Beach down the road is excellent for swimming and snorkeling.

Summary: Me and my friends enjoyed our stay at Eleuthera. It was a right decision choosing Blueskies Cottage because it is located at the center of the island and so we had the chance to visit both south and north end and it is near the airport. We even had day trips to Harbour island and Spanish wells. It would not be possible if we had chosen hotels/villas at the southern part of the island because of the long drive. I would highly recommend the cottage to friends who would want to visit Eleuthera. In addition, 1.) Mr. Ferguson was very helpful and he ensures to accommodate us whenever we call him for assistance. 2.) I love the rooms and the glass windows that could be opened if you want fresh air. 3.) Water supply is very good. 4.) Kitchen was furnished and I appreciate the fact that we were able to cook our own meals if the outside stores had already closed. 5.) Area seems to be safe even if it was quite isolated. 6.) The extra phone provided for emergency purposes was a great idea. We had one problem on our first night when the centralized air conditioning unit seems not to be working properly. We called Freddie that night and he was able to fix the problem the following morning.

The house is very clean and full of everything things you need, and it's really the perfect cottage to spend a faboulous holiday also with all the family (we were mummy, daddy, and two kids 6 and 8 years). Summary: This was a family vacation we planned at the very last minute. Owner replied to us right away and house was available. We had a great time. House was nice and clean, with everything we needed. It was very easy to access, yet in a private and quiet area away from the main road. Centrally located in Rainbow Bay, it was very easy to visit both ends of the Island. It was our first time in Eleuthera and the island is beautiful!

Summary: Easy automobile access, yet secluded and private. The neighbors are friendly but unobtrusive. The house is solid, sound, clean and furnished artfully. Both Atlantic and Exuma Sound beaches are within walking distance and the Rainbow development roads invite walking on moonlit nights. Groceries and weekend barbecue are available in nearby James Cistern. My wife and I will make our third visit this coming January. Oh, and the owner is polite, responsive and accommodating. What more could you want?
