Summary: This was a very budget property with rooms above a restaurant. Restaurant staff checked me in were friendly, room was basic and in need of a refresh (carpet, bed, soft furnishings all showing signs of wear and tear). Plus side is that it is next to some nice restaurants / cafes, close to city centre and had four free parking slots (first come etc..).

Summary: There are some real positives here. The room I booked was absolutely massive, with two bedrooms and a large bathroom (little tired), and the restaurant is excellent, offering traditional Nepalese food. The manager was also friendly when I spoke to him in person, although communication was confusing at times. Unfortunately, the stay itself was rather chaotic. Communication before arrival was non-existent. I messaged through Hotels.com with a question and received no reply. On arrival I had to call to find out where to park. I reached an answering machine, left a message and sent another message through Hotels.com, again with no response. I eventually spoke to the manager, who told me to park out front, which was full, then out back, which was also full, before ending the call. I left my car on the road and checked in. The room then revealed a broken door handle, a hole in the main bedroom window and a TV with no connections. A kettle sat on top of a small fridge I reported the window and TV problems and was initially told they were fine. I had to show a photo of the window before someone was sent to fix both. Parking continued to be an adventure. At 7:30pm I was given a note allowing me to park out back after dinner, only for it to be taken back and given to another guest. Around 8:30pm I was finally told I could move my car into the hotel parking space. Overall, it felt like a Fawlty Towers experience. I wouldn’t return to stay, but I would happily return for a meal.

Summary: Good place for solo travel. Friendly staff and close to the tram. The room was big and the bed comfortable.

Summary: Lovely old building that is mainly used as a restaurant. No check in desk as such, meaning we had to wander around until we found a guy working there to check in. They seemed unfamiliar with receiving guests, having to ring a colleague to confirm that I had paid. Our hotel room was massive, but not super clean. The bathroom had some oddities such as the toilet lid being hindered from fully opening by the vanity unit, so if you sat on the loo the lid constantly fell forwards and rested against your back. Staff that we did encounter were nice, the building is also quite impressive Georgian /victorian style with massive bedrooms, but overall I felt like the bedroom needed a bit of a refurbish and scrub up before I would book again.

Summary: Very nice place to stay Has free parking and the rooms are huge with a beautiful antique looking bathroom. Our only issue was the fob didn’t work and we had to disturb the lovely hotel staff (I’m very sorry) A complaint though, there were no towels in the room.

Summary: It was difficult to find someone to check in and unclear how I did this. I was fortunate the door was open to the restaurant so I could ask for help there. Room was okay but TV did not work. Again, it was very difficult to get hold of someone to try to sort this out. Eventually they changed rooms for me because they were unable to solve the problem. This room was not properly cleaned and I had to go and try to find someone (again with difficulty) to ask for toilet roll. Although the people I did have contact with tried to be helpful, it all felt rather chaotic and poorly organised. I wouldn't want to stay there again.
