Summary: We were very pleased with the Blue Mussel Beach house. Even with the cold rainy weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Juneau. The covered balcony, which ran the entire width of the house, allowed us to be outside even when it was rainy. And all the windows in the living and dining room gave us spectacular views from those rooms as well as the kitchen. The kitchen was very well stocked and clean. We were two senior citizen couples and the house was plenty spacious for us. The owners were friendly but non-intrusive. We would love to return some day.

Summary: The picture windows on the cove. WOW!!! We were pretty active getting out hiking, fishing and exploring during the week there but we still spent a significant amount of time just staring out the windows watching the tides, the boats, and the scenery in general. We also saw seals, eagles and porpoises almost daily. The bedrooms were comfortable with the entertainment room acting as an additional bedroom with a futon that folded out to a full size bed. There was a decent selection of seasonings but could not find dill for the fish. Like there was none in the entire town! The host was friendly and easy to interact with and had a few recommendations of things to see and do. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance. It is definitely worth it!

Summary: We had such a lovely relaxing time! Kathy was a great host, loaning us boots and coats, because we came terribly unprepared for all the rain. But our trip was not spoiled. The view was incredible! We saw porpoises and bald eagles and otters right from the living room and deck . And Mike was especially partial to the big fluffy rug in the living room. He wants to find one for our house. It’s a great spacious home with comfy beds, Super clean. Great location for easy excursions, even in the rain. A great home away from home. Hopefully our boys didn’t thump and bump too much. Kathy was a very gracious host.

Summary: It is a beautiful location. It is nice to be outside of downtown and relax. I liked having my morning coffee on the deck. One morning a deer walked by along the waters edge. The hosts were great! Would definitely stay there again.

Summary: Blue Mussell Cove was the accommodation for two college roommates (one with her husband, one with her 16 year old daughter) that finally visited a third college roommate that resides in Juneau. Idyllic in every way, the view, the comfort, the cleanliness, the amenities of this property made our reunion that was in the works for 30+ years perfect. Thank you for everything!

Summary: We came in town for a wedding and we were looking for a calm place to decompress between festivities and boy did we find it. Kathy was so easy to communicate with and the property was amazing. Super clean and had everything we needed. We saw eagles, sea lions, and deer, and that was just from the living room. We didn't turn the TV on once. What a great spot.
