Positive: My wife and I have just had the best part of a 2 weeks stay for my birthday at the Blue Moon Resort in Zanzibar accompanied by 2 visiting friends. The experience was totally amazing from the time we arrived till the time we left. The owner Katie, the concierge Robert and all the staff, went completely & extremely out of their way to provide me and my wife with a memorable stay. We booked an accommodation with a private pool with the surrounding walls approximately 2 metres high for total privacy, which was totally amazing and the grounds of the resort leading onto the beach followed by the Jetty was absolutely breathtaking. A personalised service is provided to make the individuals feel very special, also the resort has a maximum of 12 single level accommodations, 4 of the 12 have private pools, therefore with all the areas and zones provided for total relaxation, you will never feel at any point overwhelmed or have an intrusion of space from others and at full capacity you will feel that the whole resort is exclusively for you and a few other couples that you may see in specific areas. The resort is aiming for perfection, but on a personal notes, I would definitely recommend half board or a full board package for your stay. Many thanks for making our stay special and we’ll definitely be back. Leon & Mariko

Negative: The resort is very close to achieving the perfection that it aims for but to help it’s achieved this, I just need to address the background music. It would’ve been an additional extra touch to be in Africa and not here unknown artist covering European and globally known songs from very commercial artist. It will be a lovely touch to be able to indulge, enjoy and embrace the culture that we are visiting which in some cases can be a musically very educational and beautiful experience. Personally I feel this will complete the full experience that they clearly push to achieve.

Positive: The staff were amazing, it’s a perfect laptop for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The food was great and the wait staff were truely amazing at their jobs. We have been travelling Africa for 6 weeks now and this has been the best experience we have had so far!

Negative: Peaceful property, great facilities and great staff

Positive: A slice of paradise in the paradise island, that would summarise our stay here. A place to relax, chill out and recover in wellness both for the body and soul. We where very much impressed that this kind of place exist in Zanzibar and we look forward to come back again.

Negative: Just a suggestion of improvements though, the food and restaurant if of great quality. I would suggest that you improve the service of the waiters, sometimes we would be approached with wrong order or something would be missing on the dish that we ordered with no resolution. Also use proper napkins not paper ones, your food and restaurant deserves that standard and small things like waiter pouring water or pulling out chairs or setting the napkins on the guests lap would take this to level it deserves. Again, this is an excellent place 👌 5/5. The feedback I'm given is to continually keep it at that level or beyond. Keep it up and we hope to come visit you soon ❤️

Positive: The resort was very secluded and quiet. The landscape garden was wonderful. The staff was very attentive. The pool villa was out of this world. A big shout out for Robert, the general manager, who was so kind and so professional at the same time.

Negative: We got the impression that some minor issues should have been resolved before our arrival which would have made the stay perfect from day one. However, they did resolve everything as soon as they could.

Positive: Great resort with incomparable atmosphere and comfort. The best hotel so far on Unguja’s east coast, Jambiani. Every detail here is so beautiful and creates very relaxing mood - you will not regret it despite of the price ;)
