Positive: The view from the cottage was amazing. Loved the old & rustic charm of the cottage. Kitchen was well-equipped with complimentary breakfast supplies. Fully fenced yard for our pup to run free. Cozy and comfortable bed. Hosts were gracious to let us taste some wine at the Cellar Door and we took a couple of bottles home as the wines were so good.

Positive: We went for a getaway focused on 2 things 1. Place for our dog 2. Place ti set up telescope at night Worked brilliantly on both counts

Negative: Accomodation had all facilities, and was cleaned well at surface level. However, there were many cobwebs in the ceiling. I understand its difficult to manage cobwebs on the outside, but inside along the ceiling can be done. That said, everything else was exactly what we were lookinh fir. And will recommend for sure

Positive: A self-contained cabin in a lovely peaceful setting with vineyard slopes in the back. The espresso machine makes excellent coffee. The fridge was stocked with decent breakfast items, including ground coffee, bread and butter and fresh eggs. It was nice to be truly disconnected for a while - no Wi-Fi or mobile phone reception. Our friendly host who was there to greet us at the gate :)

The serenity was truly something special. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature, sipping coffee while overlooking the vineyards, and breathing in the fresh country air was an absolute dream. The cottage itself was charming, cozy, and beautifully maintained, offering all the comforts of home with the added luxury of complete seclusion - bacon and eggs, YUM! One of the best parts? It was absolutely perfect for our two dogs! 🐶🐶 They had plenty of space to explore, sniff, and enjoy the fresh country air right alongside us. We loved exploring the stunning Mt Cole region, then unwinding in the afternoon with some incredible wines from the Mountainside Wines cellar door. Jane and Shane were warm and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect weekend escape. If you're looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, enjoy fantastic wine, and bring your four-legged companions along, The Blue House at Mountainside Wines is the ideal retreat.
