Positive: The rooms were beautifully appointed, large beds, the view from the floor-ceiling windows was fabulous. The staff was very helpful too. It was close to the beach and ocean, which was nice.

Negative: For the amount of money charged for the room ($600.00), we would have liked a choice of a hot breakfast to be included, which would be commensurate with other similarly priced places. Having a higher-end restaurant on the premises would add value too. The restaurant offered to us was a 5-minute walk, was very crowded, and had limited food choices.

Summary: Beautiful place to stay, but lacks a hot breakfast or restaurant.

Positive: Comfy beds and view from our room

Negative: For a property this expensive ($600 US per night) I was expecting dining options to match the quality of the room. Breakfast was in a lovely room but the options were in keeping with the continental breakfast options at a Holiday Inn! Despite booking our dinner in the evening and arriving exactly on time , we were asked to wait outside the ‘partner restaurant’ 5 mins walk away on a very cool evening for 30 mins for the next table to become available! We were told there was no room at the bar. Eventually we were seated at a table next to the kitchen disposal area and the food we ate was average at best. Staff were sweet and wearing ‘Be Nice’ T shirts. Maybe they had experienced disappointed customers previously?

Summary: A hotel with a lot of promise that severely let down by its dining options .

Positive: The spa idea was unique but only being there a short time sadly we didn’t get to use it. The room was very clean and I loved having a couch and rocking chair in our room.

Negative: We would have liked it if there was a hot breakfast like bacon,sausages,eggs. Wish the hotel prices were cheaper,would love to come back,but it’s steep for my pocket book.

Positive: It’s new and everything feels fresh and high quality. The place is eco-responsible and has cultivated great relationships with the local community. Loved their resource room with books you could borrow and games. Loved that they had allergy-friendly options at breakfast, which included a great view. Loved that there was a great coffee shop and restaurant in walking distance of the hotel, where we ate twice. Loved the “family room” option and that dogs were welcome, even though we don’t have dogs. Staff were friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Views out of the giant windows were amazing.

Negative: The beautiful fireplace was located in the main lobby, making it hard to “relax by the fire“ reading, as I have in other resorts where they’re in another room. You hear 100% of noise from check-in and the open-air concept included the second floor resource center and the bar space & cafe style tables in the lobby directly next to check-in—all sharing the same open air design & sound travels. We had no noise issues in our bedroom-we just didn’t use any of these shared spaces again after we experienced noise. The amenities—hot tub, sauna—were located outdoors and it rained & was cold for most of our visit, so we didn’t use them, or the beach access as we’d planned. It rained the night of the bonfire. The weather isn’t the hotel’s fault, of course, but we didn’t use the hotel’s amenities and that was a large part of the reason we opted for a resort. We tried to book massages but I think we were out of season because we were referred to an off-site facility so didn’t ultimately pursue them.
