Positive: Cosy village pub. Excellent Ale

Negative: No pub meal, just a burger van in car park. Bed was propped up in the middle with wood. Breakfast was DIY not cooked. No where to eat breakfast in room. Had to sit on bed.

Positive: A wonderful spot - amazingly friendly welcome and staff. Lovely, comfortable room and the “help yourself” drink/breakfast kitchenette a brilliant idea. Had a couple of drinks and a meal in the buzzy pub - got lucky with being there on fish and chip night ….. probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere! Would highly recommend this property for a drink, a meal or a stay.

Negative: Only thing missing was a proper mirror in the bedroom!

Summary: A splendid spot well worth a visit. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Positive: Friendly people and really accommodating Nice vibe Lovely food on Saturday night Good rural location

Negative: The kitchen extractor filled the room with the smell of fat (3) Better to keep windows closed There was no cooking on Sunday so that was a relief Not sure if it was a cheaper room but we paid just over £303 for two nights

Positive: Excellent service! We even got a lift back to the wedding venue the next day from the manager!

Negative: Taxis were difficult to get round there, if you’re staying for a wedding or event, book in advance! We were a tad disappointed we didn’t get a cooked breakfast for the price, which is what we thought we were going to get.

Negative: I am sorry to say that there are a few problems, which can be changed to make this a very good place to stay. The toilet seat moved when sat I couldn’t wash my hair because there was no hairdryer in the room. I decided to curl my hair instead, but no mirror ! Just a make up mirror in the bathroom so I had to look into a compact mirror! However eventually we did find a hairdryer in the kitchen, along the corridor and a mirror outside the room. Which I wouldn’t use if I just came out of the shower, as I wouldn’t get dressed until after I did my hair. Also there was a lot of paint on the window in the bathroom , which could easily of been cleaned off. Finally we didn’t know where to leave the room key as in the morning the pub wasn’t open. Theses are a few minor issues which can be fixed. Once these have been fixed then this place would be a great place to stay.

Summary: A good place to stay if all the things mentioned could be fixed.
