Summary: Excellent hotel. Beautiful character room with good facilities and spotlessly clean. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially welcoming at check-in and although busy, they showed us to the room. Would definitely recommend, we will make it our go to hotel in North Yorkshire.

Summary: The room was clean and warm, as was the bathroom. The staff were very helpful. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable. The springs made noise and pressed into my back whenever I moved.

Summary: Excellent staff very friendly and the food was very good indeed. Cosy and intimate bar which welcomed our dog and we enjoyed our meals. We stayed in the cottage opposite so very easy. Room was lovely and clean bathroom good size a more comfortable bed would be beneficial for future but fully recommend.

Summary: We had been before and appreciated many things including the meals, which we feel were slightly less special this time. We would also have liked 2 chairs in our room, plus net curtains as the windows looked straight out onto a pavement with passers by. Also the lavatory kept blocking, but eventually righted itself after much flushing.
