Positive: We visited here 5 yrs ago and had a lovely meal and wine so chose to stay as B&B this time Lovely aspect, great views and so quiet. The accommodation was very comfortable, huge bed and great shower. We opted to have a cheese/ charcuterie board for the evening in the accommodation. Wide choice of breakfast (continental in the room). Toaster and combi oven. Outside terrace for sipping wine at sunset (though the weather was against us at the time). The restaurant served great food, excellent flavours and good advice on choices from the staff plus wine pairing. Altogether a very relaxing stay.

Summary: If you like great food and want to relax with your wine and enjoy the view this is a lovely place to stay.

Positive: We arrived as weary travelers after 26 hours of flying and found ourselves in stunning and peaceful surroundings at Black Estate and received a very warm welcome by Pen and her team. The room is a perfect little hideaway in the vineyard and we were able to buy a delicious homemade lasagne to eat in our room while we rested and drank some of their delicious wines. We had the place to ourselves after dark which was bliss. We had bikes to explore the area.

Negative: Nothing, it was wonderful.

Positive: Right next to lovely winery restaurant so could enjoy the chef’s choice lunch and not have to drive home. When the workers left the views were ours to enjoy with our dog.

Positive: Stunning views of the vineyard Very friendly staff and hosts! The sourdough bread for breakfast was absolutely delicious. Bikes provided that allow you to discover neighbouring vineyards on your bike. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening.
