Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the waterfall across from the cabin that flows year-round and the Yellowstone River as it meanders past the Bison Hallow. Located only 300 yards from the border to Yellowstone National Park and 4.5 miles from the town of Gardiner/the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance. The spacious patio offers a beautiful setting to take in the mountain views while reminiscing about the days adventures. With a gas grill and seating for all 8 - it is the perfect place to establish base camp for your Yellowstone vacation.
The cabin has two bedrooms with 4 commercial queen beds. Each bedroom has a private ensuite (full) bathroom. The Bison Hallow is cozy and beautifully decorated with a theme honoring the great American icon, the Sacred Bison.
Each year Yellowstone National Park culls up to 900 bison – this sad event (which involves treaty rights) allows men to line up on the road, shoot entire herds – even heavily pregnant females that are ready to drop newborn calves within 30-120 days. If you chose to walk the field cross the gravel road – please carry bear spray and pay your respects to the fallen. You’ll find several bones in the bison graveyard….
We do occasionally see bears, mountain lions, wolves, bison and rattlesnakes on the property and we frequently have deer and elk - especially in the spring and fall. The property does have exterior cameras to for the protection and safety of our property and guests. Many times the elk will eat right outside the patio and bed down for the day. Please do not approach or feed any of the wildlife. You should always maintain 25 yards distance between elk, deer & bison and 100 yards from bears, wolves and mountain lions.

Summary: Loved watching and listening to the river from the back porch. Very relaxing after a long day in yellowstone. We were disappointed that post said 2 Queen beds in each room but all 4 beds were Full beds. After a long day in yellowstone we were too tired to contact the owner about it. Beds were comfortable. I didn't like that we had to drive 7 miles to the trash dump to take our trash out when checking out. Be warned the house is on a long gravel road and your vehicle will definitly get very dirty But the positives out weigh the negatives. Looking at the mountain views while sitting by the river was worth it. There was even a huge herd of elk in the field behind the cabin area when we checked in. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We only stayed 1 night and i would stay again.

Summary: it was what we needed with amazing surroundings and lots of animals.It’s slightly rustic, and you should be sure to bring your own laundry soap or oil for cooking…. Which can be pretty standard so I don’t count it against the place. It’s so close to the north entrance of Yellowstone and the town is cute and has what you need. We had a great time and we would go there again.

Summary: Perfect Location next to the hot springs and yellowstone park. Lots of wildlife and the cabin had everything we needed. Gardiner was very expensive to eat out so it was nice to have a kitchen

Summary: I’ve stayed in the park many times and decided to take a chance on a place outside of the Gardiner Entrance. Great spot on the Yellowstone river. Comfortable with 2 queen beds in each room. Fully equipped kitchen. Even a Weber bbq on the back porch. In the shadow of Devils Slide mountain. Even has AC which was great when temps hit 88 during our trip.
