Positive: The facilities were excellent. For the last part of our stay it was raining and wet. Heating and open fires saved us! There was also plenty of firewood supplied for our stay. Our family loves cooking and found as many pots and pans as needed. The dishwasher worked well. We found a jigsaw puzzle in the games cupboard, which kept us well occupied at nights and a walk to wombat botanic gardens cafe gave us good exercise and at the cafe, bread ( baked daily) and great coffee plus excellent food. Beds were all comfortable, but the shower ( over a bath) was a challenge at times. This was a great house for a family of 6 adults having a gettogether.
Negative: The shower over the bath is a bit of a challenge for older people ( but we knew about it). Toilet needs a service. ( flush can run on). Overal, though it was great.

Positive: Very easy check in and check out process. The house is cosy, comfy and had everything we needed. Extremely clean and tidy with dishes all in excellent condition. We couldn’t work out the oven but that’s probably just because we’re not used to a gas lit oven. Great coffee options- pod machine, plungers, and stove top. A really lovely and warm feel to the house, felt like a cottage with a beautiful garden and sun room area out the back. The beds are super comfortable. It’s a bit of a hike into the Main Street- no footpaths and all uphill on the way back but an easy walk to Wombat Hill gardens.
Negative: Surprisingly a lot of traffic noise, although I think that’s just Daylesford in general
Summary: 10/10 stay for the character and warmth of the house and the care put in by the host

Positive: We had a wonderful family reunion of 5 people at this large house. The house was warm- good heating and open fires. Beds were really comfortable ( could be separated into king singles) with electric blankets. Great range of utensils in the kitchen. Wonderful to have the family dog away with us.
Negative: Would be good to have a shower which was not over the bath. Although there is a second toilet the main toilet was in the only bathroom. ( affects you when more than 4 people) As this is ' dog friendly ' be aware the dog only has access to half the house.

Positive: An sms at our planned arrival time was sent with code so i was able to unlock the house.
Negative: A bit tricky running around the side of the house in the rain to access veranda post because gate was locked along side of house. Once we were in house, it wasn't a problem because the house was so warm inviting and really beautiful.
Summary: It was relaxing, warm welcoming and perfect place to unwind. Really beautiful.
