Positive: This hotel is worth to visit absolutely . We decided to spend our holidays near by Bergen but by nature . Here there is fantastic atmosphere , we could sleep very well, because of the Silence around the hotel, we ate very tasty thanks to super restaurant in the hotel . Bed linen and pillows were very clean and comfortable. It’s posible to take at first a car 30 minutes then a ferry to Bergen center about 10-15 minutes . And it’s cheaper than to pay for parking in the centre of Bergen. Breakfast is the best here

Negative: We’d like our room to be cleaned every day but I think it’s posible , but you need to ask

Positive: - The food is absolutely incredible. We had both dinner and breakfast here and I am still thinking about it a week after. I would come back for this alone. - The room was very modern and had a super fluffy bed. - dogs are allowed! Hurray!

Negative: The supplement for staying with your dog is quite high (355NOK) and does not give you anything for the dog (no bowl for example). Also, the dog is not allowed in the restaurant, so this is not ideal. Also good to know: the hotel hosts events, such as weddings, and if this happens to be during your stay you can hear the music from the party in your room quite loudly. We were unexpectedly surprised by this and had a very bad night of sleep. The hotel, however, offered us a suitable compensation when we brought this up. If you are keen on having a good night's rest, however, and don't want to take any chances, I would inquire about any events beforehand.

Positive: Exceptional location, we decided to pay for the deluxe room with view of the sea - best decision ever. Beautifully renovated, friendliest staff, just serene with spots everywhere in and about the hotel where one could sit and enjoy a drink or a cup of tea - one has access to tea and coffee in the hallway, absolutely charming set-up. We will definitely return.

Positive: The view was beautiful, it was quiet. The nature is lovely. We saw an otter and whales.

Negative: There was no one at reception on arrival or departure. Once a person was found, there was no explanation of anything in the hotel. The breakfast was extremely basic (definitely did not match website or elevator picture), the plates were dirty, the staff disinterested. The dinner food was mediocre. The room was nice given the view, but the water wouldn’t drain in the sink, there were spider webs everywhere, the shower and the bathroom wouldn’t dry. The room was a sauna, no way to cool it. It was 29 degrees Celsius in the room when we arrived. There was also no single sheet to cover the whole mattress, which is very unhygienic since the whole thing would come undone and winter duvets were on the bed in the middle of summer.

Summary: The quality of the hotel is unacceptable for the price.
