Negative: The building was a nice building. The room felt a bit rundown in the bathroom needing some refurbishment. The corner of the bathroom next to the bath and radiator wasn’t cleaned property even with a pubic hair on the floor. The bath was awkward to get in and out of and plywood as a bath panel wasn’t a nice look.

Summary: It’s had a cozy comfy bed There are some marks on the carpet felt it was overpriced for this room

Positive: Had a meal in the restaurant downstairs which was very good, Chinese food, very pleasant evening and made to feel welcome as a solo traveller.

Negative: Nothing to say, it was great for my overnight stay seeing family.

Positive: Ideally situated a short walk from the station for regular trains into Nottingham. Free parking at the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room (#16) with large comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom. There was a portable fan in the room which was a welcome addition as the weather was unusually warm. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

Negative: Duvet filling was unevenly lumpy with nothing in the main body and all clustered around the edges. Mentioned this to the manager so hopefully it is now sorted. Background music in the breakfast room was very monotonous and boring.

Summary: Small friendly hotel in a pleasant market town.
