Positive: Beautiful old-style guesthouse with fantastic nature nearby (river, lakes and walking trails). Friendly and service-minded owner. Small but nice rooms. Bathrooms with showers are in the hallway by the rooms, but that is not a problem if you are aware of this when naking the booking

Positive: It was a extarodrinary stay and surely one of a lifetime! We were able to experience it by pure chance, thanks to people who have cancelled on short notice..We won't ever forget the river singing us into sleep, the marvellous host, the wonderful breakfast and the overall experience at this unique place. Positive: Super friendly and helpful people and very good food! Everything was very cozy and clean. Location is beautiful and with good outdoor activities around.

Negative: I didn't read the text good enough before booking so was a bit suprised that there was shared toilets. But this was my fault. The room was good size but the roof gets very low very quicly so room feels smaller than it is. The river is very noisy and especially since our room was facing the riversidr and it was a warm day/night and with no aircondition we wanted to have the window open.

Positive: We stayed at Billingen Guesthouse on June 30 after a long day hiking a glacier and driving the scenic Route 55. By the time we arrived, it was already 11 p.m., but the host was still waiting for us and warmly helped us carry our luggage upstairs—something we truly appreciated after such a long day. The guesthouse is located right on top of a powerful waterfall—the view is absolutely stunning, and the sound of the rushing water at night was both calming and unforgettable. I slept so well with nature’s lullaby in the background. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and authentically Norwegian—simple, hearty, and just right. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we later learned that there are many beautiful hiking trails and sights in the area. Next time I come to Norway, I’ll definitely return to this wonderful place and stay longer. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
