Summary: If you turned the shower on hot it made a loud screeching sound and the air conditioning unit didn’t make our room much cooler what so ever hard to sleep. Nice pool

Summary: Basic hotel that is a few minutes drive from downtown Frederick. The hotel could use a facelift, as it is a little dated, but has a large amount of rooms. The room was a bit dark with limited lighting — my only critique. The breakfast was fairly good with a number of options in the small dining room. It should be noted that this hotel doesn’t have an elevator to the second floor.

Summary: Hotel was a bit run down & not very clean (greasy door knobs) ac didn’t seem to work right, shower made horrible squealing noise. Bathroom was extremely small. It was alright for a one night stay. People that worked there were nice & it was in a nice, quiet part of town close to the historic part/shops.

Summary: Average hotel. Person at front desk was kind and professional. Hotel has smell of old smoke and cigarettes. Vending machines on our floor (2nd) and in the stairwell. King room with sofa was comfortable enough. Went to front desk to ask for pillows and a blanket, desk clerk got them right away. Missed breakfast, coffee was fine.

Summary: I was not able to sleep past 7am because they are replacing the roof and there was a lot of noise. I stayed in the second floor so they were literally above me. My shower also had a hole the size of my foot. Would not recommend it. My room was 227.

Summary: The Best Western was disappointing. Maybe I had too high expectations as it was 30-50% more expensive than other budget options. What was good: The room was clean. The bed was comfortable The staff member who checked me in was very friendly. What could be improved: The blow dryer in my room didn’t work. The bathroom is small (but functional). I got a room by one of the stairwells and the first night people kept coming and going with the door to the stairs banging each time. Just get a soft-close system. Breakfast was incredibly basic. The eggs looked like they were from powder not fresh scrambled eggs. The yoghurt dispenser was dripping yoghurt. The location is misleading- it’s called “historic Fredrick” but there is nothing close to historic by the hotel. What is by the hotel is a highway. The room I originally booked (king sized bed) was facing the highway so the helpful staff member suggested I take a different room during check in. I still heard traffic from the highway. The mini fridge had a life of its own and made kiss of noise as it struggled to stay cold. Each of the issues was in itself “small” but collectively they made for one if the least pleasant hotel experiences I have had the past 18 months with over 25 hotel nights.
