Negative: For me the cushions were a bit soft and I would have used a bit more light around the bed.

Positive: The property is outstanding, with incredible views. In a sleepy little town named Adelboden.

Negative: Going in winter, with the snowfall on the hills and around, would’ve been perfect. Make sure you have necessary groceries before you get there, because the stores around close early. Prices at nearby restaurants are really steep.

Summary: Fantastic stay, lovely couple who run it.

Positive: Cozy and spacious house with all facilities one may require in a house eg dishwasher, stable internet, fully functional and clean bathroom/toilet, very beautiful location with great waterfall view directly from garden where you can sit and eat your meals, friendly owners, close to a supermarket..

Negative: Expected more privacy while using the garden’s hot tub and less upstairs noise Sunday morning when private guests stayed overnight. Tourist tax could be better included in the final price (although they did not force me to pay).

Summary: Fantastic place to stay—definitely recommend for a restful getaway.

Positive: Our stay at Madeline and Bernhard's cabin was absolutely magical! The views of Engstligenalp Falls were simply breathtaking and provided a stunning backdrop to our entire trip. Madeline and Bernhard were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Their local knowledge was invaluable; they gave us fantastic advice on scenic routes to avoid tourists before our departure, which made our onward journey so much more enjoyable. We were warmly welcomed with a generous offer of wine and beer upon arrival, a thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel at home. We also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot pot. The cabin's kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything we needed, and Madeline even took the time to show me how to use an Italian coffee maker – a skill I'll definitely be taking home with me! From start to finish, we truly felt like family. We can't recommend this cabin enough for anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming, and memorable getaway. Thank you, Madeline and Bernhard, for everything!

Very nice owners Madeleine and Bernhard, who live next door and are there in case you need something. Fantastic 3 nights, I wish the weekend never stopped.

Positive: Very nice and welcoming hosts, we felt really at home! We dream of coming once again for a longer stay. Perfect location, you can easily reach by car a lot - Spiz castle, Lauterbrunnen, rope park in Interlaken, Bern..or trelax in the village itself, enjoing nature, views, slow walks. We had everything what we need in the appartment, especially in the kitchen.

Positive: I had a flat tire on my way to location. Bernhard came in person to collect my family and take them to the apartment while I dealt with the problem. It felt like having a friend on the spot. The house is placed in a green meadow surrounded by rolling hills and majestic alpine peaks. But the jewel of it all is a lovely waterfall sliding down steep slopes in perfect view from the north side of the apartment. Oh, and a friendly cat showed up every morning to bid us a good day.

Negative: We couldn't figure out how the TV worked. But that was not the purpose of our visit, so it was really a minor thing. Wi-Fi was OK though.

Summary: Bern hospitality at its best
