Positive: Property was extremely close to the beach but 3.5Ks from Port Elizabeth. The property was spacious and had AC.

Negative: Property lacked attention, it was tired with areas that needed care. The cleanliness was not great in the bathroom for example. No complimentary bottled water upon arrival. I'd expect at least 1 bottle per guest when checking in. Leftover soap in the bathrooms, clearly used by previous guests. I'd expect some body wash or shampoo at least. The curtains throughout the property were old and stained. They all require replacing and updating. Overall, the place was functional but in need of a facelift. In my opinion, overpriced for what was provided.

Positive: Wonderful stay in the very special island of Bequia The unit I stayed is right on the beach, literally 3 steps from the sand and the water ! The cottage was confortable (AC's, fan, long chairs, etc) and spacious with a large living room with high ceiling The staff welcomed me and made me feel at ease. They helped with taxi and restaurant recommendation.

Negative: That my stay was way too short. I will come back hopefully.

Positive: Stepping out of the front door straight into the sea 😍

Negative: No warm water in shower. Very worried about the security very easy to break in I didn't sleep.

Positive: Has an amazing view and we were treated very well by Bernadette, George, other costumers and the local people. They helped make our visit unforgettable with tips and support. There was an issue one night (water leak) that was resolved straight away. We could not extend our check out because the room was needed but we were welcomed to stay around on the common areas and use the beach. We felt welcomed and taken care of and would come again. We did not try the food because we cooked ours.

Negative: This is not “not like”, only flagging a few things that do not match the booking description that other people may need to consider when booking. You do not have a dishwasher, bath, hair dryer, bide, mosquito net, coffee machine, clothes rack to dry, daily cleaning services and free transfer. So, if you want to dry your hair for example, bring yours. About the property itself, beach chairs (the ones you can lay down) in the balconies would be a nice addition on my view point. In general the property was nice, has an old appearance so do not expect luxury. Was ok for us. The only “bad” thing was the water, we never had hot water, neither for washing up or shower. I was ok with it but my husband likes warm showers. To wash up grease from the kitchen items is helpful the hot water.

Positive: The location is on the beach in Friendship Bay. Fab views, fab snorkeling with reefs either side of the bay. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Bernadette though was the best thing about it. She looks after the property and was very helpful, helped me with restaurants, sorted out a mask and snorkel for as I forgot to pack mine and when I had to extend my holiday by a day due to problems at Bequia Airport Bernadette was very flexible and helpful. We had some good chats too. She's a star

Negative: Although the kitchenette is well equipped , the cooking facilities are just a double hot plate, toaster and kettle. I was ok with that as it was a 10 day break for me so I ate out , but if anyone does want to cook you just need to adapt to no oven or microwave. For me a minor issue. I was fine with tea and toast in the morning and some fruit. Also Friendship Bay has less eateries etc near it, but the dollar buses are frequent, start very early and have to be experienced as its how the locals get around. It's a few minutes over to the other bays and main town where the restaurants and bars are plentiful. Or you can walk, takes 45 mins to an hr. If you are coming back after 7pm, no buses, so taxis for about £8 or £9.
