Positive: The owner and his son are the sweetest people.. very welcoming and accomodating. They go the extra mile for their guests. We LOVED our cozy room (tatami style) and the view we had over the cute trains that pass by. For us it was magical everytime we re-entered the room. The japanese style bathroom with tub was enjoyable too. And if you enjoy Ghibli movies, this is the place for you!

Positive: This place was very cute and pretty. The owner and his son are extremely nice and very accommodating hosts. They allowed me to check in early so I could drop my bags and helped me carry it upstairs to my room. I had flowers with me and they lent me a beautiful vas. They also let me leave my bag after checking out since my itinerary was to explore near their place before moving on. They were very attentive. The son told me they built their place themselves! The owner also made me breakfast in the morning and lent me an umbrella for walking around.

Negative: I managed ok because I’m a pretty good sleeper and had earplugs, but my room was right next to the train tracks/local station. This meant getting around was very easy (bus stop right next to there too), but it was a bit noisy and did rattle the room a bit. I did manage to adjust mostly and sleep anyway.

Summary: Wonderful hosts, appreciated their kindness!!

Positive: The family that own and run the property are friendly, helpful and kind. Big selection of items to choose from for breakfast.

Negative: The location is very far from the centre but good if you want to be in the suburbs. It is right on the railway line if you sensitive to noise. There is only one bathroom for all the guests. The room was small for two people.

Positive: This place is awesome! I can see why it is so highly rated. The host is super friendly, the space is cozy and extremely clean. The location was very convenient as I was attending an event in Kyoto Convention Centre. It is an easy walk to get there and I had the chance to see deer on my way there. The wifi works well, the kitchen is well equipped although I didn't have the chance to use it in this trip. All great! I would definitively come back.
