Summary: Beautiful hotel and great restaurant for dinner and breakfast!!! Beds were so comfy. Make sure to get a big room. They are so nice especially in the new area of the hotel with more modern furniture and bathrooms

Summary: Benbow Inn is certainly charming. But the rooms need to be upgraded. The AC was very loud and we had to run it all night to keep the room at a habitable temperature. Other than that, it was nice.

Summary: Air conditioning issues and noise were a bit of a bummer, but otherwise great.

Summary: This is a wonderful secluded get away near the Redwoods and right on the Eel river. I love the 1930’s styling throughout that makes it feel as though you stepped back in time. The staff was excellent and very customer focused and professional. As with any older building, there will always be a few things that just aren’t working exactly right. In my case this was the AC leaking a bit of water onto floor when running. However, the maintenance department jumped right on the repair when notified.

Summary: Lovely facilty, with beautiful antique furnishings. The tea & scones a nice afternoon treat, Happy hour didn’t include discounted bar menu items, half price drinks only. Dinner was wonde

Summary: We spent a night here as part of a road trip around Northern California. We chose this hotel as we’d read that it was convenient to Avenue of the Giants, which it is. It’s an old hotel and desperately needs some TLC (and cleaning of webs!), but the main hall is quite majestic and the terrace is pleasant. They serve complimentary scones and tea at 3 pm which was charming. Dinner is overpriced and underwhelming. The rooms are dark, and feel like they belong in an old mansion. It was an experience and part of our memories of the road trip!

Summary: Old time decor and a fun destination. The on site restaurant and bar was really good. My only issue, which is always my issue, it was expensive, but in this case it was worth it.

Summary: Wonderfully unique hotel that you should not miss. It is old - this must be understood of course. Food is superb. Ambience/Attitude are rare! Complimentary tea & scones, and welcome cream sherry in crystal decanter…

Summary: It was a beautiful place but we were treated like white trash being that we rode in on Harley Davidsons. Door man yelled at us as we pulled into the reservation spots that “ you cant park there”. We were like well we do have reservations. He crawfished real quick. Food is ridiculously priced. Breakfast burritos are $25 a piece. Last but not least while out on the patio enjoying one of their $20 mix drinks( Tito’s & cranberry) we were reprimanded 2/3 times to stop smoking cigarettes. NONE IF US WERE SMOKING!! So if you ride motorcycles & have Tatoos I highly recommend staying else where!

Summary: Rustic property that was quiet and relaxing. The back lawn was beautiful and we appreciated that there was corn hole to play. They serve tea and scone before the dinner hour and the restaurant had great food. All employees were friendly and helpful.
